This is just a little educational guess, But I have a feeling we'll be getting an announcement of sorts from Comic-Con in a couple of weeks. Based on what happened Comic-Con 2006(A Year after BB) with TDK being announced, I can see WB announcing whether or not Nolan is still on the project.

Hope so. If not oh well get a new director and just make James Bond like Batman films. You know stand alone.

i have a feeling too. :) heres to hoping! we should have a comic con watch party

Comic Con's approach always stirs up this feeling. I still don't think we'll hear anything in regards to Nolan for quite a ways down the line.

I'll gladly eat a pie if I'm wrong though.

comic con is just an exciting event. but this years comic con kinda blows. there is nothing that gets me really excited. there is BB3, and SM4 that i am looking forward to. but none of those movies have anything planned at the con. :(. hopefully there is a very big surprise

Its pretty much a given that we'll get solid info on SM4 but still a mystery on B3. I wouldnt put it past WB to announce anything solid on B3 till wizard world or Comic-Con 2010.

2010? Hope we hear somethin before then! They need to throw us a bone! I still think Nolans agreed to sign on but has asked Warners to hold off announcing it too early so he can soley focus on Inception. Well thats what i'm hoping!

You guys know how Nolan likes to concentrate on one film while filming and not think about any thing else. So, once he is done filming Inception, I'm sure we'll get some news on how things for Batman 3 are going.

This was kind of discussed in another thread in the non-spoilers forum but nobody ever goes there. Anyways I don't think we'll hear any official word on Nolan until after he's finished filming Inception. Filming on Inception should be finished sometime early next year, then Nolan will still be heavy in editing and stuff so it's possible we may not hear anything until Spring 2010.

warner bros. wouldn't want to hold out that late. the latest it will come out is probably 2012. i have a feeling when a third is announced, nolan will state that it will be the final batman film he is doing.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, but that's just me.

Yeah but Bale got T2 coming out and Nolan has Inception.

Inception comes out next year, and T2 hasn't been confirmed yet. Bale probably dosen't want to do it anyway.

I hope you're right. And maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but this item from the Friday Comic-Con schedule (from the SHH! main page) made me wonder:

6:00-7:00 Comics to Film with Michael Uslan— Godfather of the modern comic book film Michael Uslan (Batman, Constantine, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) celebrates the 20th anniversary of his landmark movie Batman (1989) by recounting what it took to make it happen and how the industry has changed since then, advising newcomers how to make their comic book movie dreams come true. Q&A and surprise announcements will cap off the hour. Moderated by Tony Panaccio. Room 7AB

Probably not, but you never know.

:down for T2

Way to go, thumbs up to Nolan for Inception, I can't wait to see it next year. I haven't seen the trailer yet even, but I'm still hyped thinking about the cast. Marion Cotillard, Leonardo Dicaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Ken Wattanabe, Cillian Murphy, Micheal Caine. Boy, can't wait!!!!

Thought Bale was in Inception too? Oh well. Levitt a good actor who should be in a Bat movie. I say he should be the future Bruce Wayne/Batman.

We might not get an anything offical. But you know someone is going to ask someone with at least a little knowledge about what's going on. So I think we'll get something.

But probably nothing big.

I never said Bale was in Inception, maybe your thinking of someone else. Yeah, I agree that JGL should be in a future bat-film, I don't know abou bruce wayne/batman he'd have to bulk up like bale did for that. Right now, he's a little too skinny for that, but I wouldn't mind him as a Heath replacement for the Joker in Batman 3 since they look alittle like eachother. Though if i'm not mistaken my sources like Jett have reported that he will only be in Inception with Nolan not Batman 3. As for the announcement of Nolan and co. returning to helm Batman 3 we probably won't hear any official Batman news until after Inception is done filming, knowing that Nolan likes to do one film and focus on that. I won't be surprised if we don't hear anything until after post-production of Inception. Nolan is so damn secretive about things.

It'd give me a reason to continue living. :)

Would be cool. I definitely would like an announcement at Comic-Con. :oldrazz:
