Antje Traue IS Faora in The Man of Steel - Part 2

I guess 'quite a few' people did just finally catch up on MoS via Cable / On Demand (available since last week, I think), hence the sudden resurgence of interest in the actresses/actors involved.

Interesting variation on the original hairstyle. Add the characteristic white 'lightning bolt' side streaks and you basically have Elsa Lanchester as the Bride of Frankenstein.

*starts to ponder the thought of Antje as the Bride of Frankenstein*

I'd like to see Marvel swoop her up & cast her as a character that is guaranteed to return.

Faora isn't likely to come back, so I think getting a Marvel character (that's a hero this time) would be perfect for Antje.

Then be wondering why is Faora in a Marvel or Sony movie?

I want to see her battle Wonder Woman.

That would be awesome.

Only small minded people still view someone as only ONE character. Actors are actors, so whether they were in another comic book company's film or not, if they are cast they should be accepted.

I can't see any issues with casting Antje in a Marvel film...there's certainly no worry of her repeating her performance as Faora since there are tons of characters she could portray that are vastly different.

:wow: I love Antje with her hair like this, it just brings a whole new level of sexiness to her.

Although, let's be honest...this woman would be unbelievably stunning & beautiful even if she was totally bald.

I'd love to see her and Henry Cavill work together again.

Yes, I'm a Antje Traue fan. I want to see her again...in something!

edit:

I have to add since I'm watching the movie again. The scene in the IHOP where she handily kicking Superman's ass is FANTASTIC! She's so calm and collected. Traue is the WO-MAN!

Agreed. I really want to consistently see her in good movies. Would be nice to see her in a horror movie, comedy, maybe another superhero movie down the road...all that good stuff.

I still think Antje Traue would have made a great Diana / Wonder Woman. I found this on deviantart, made by LFSilver.

If a female Commander Shepard is used in a live action "Mass Effect" movie, Antje Traue would be my pick for the role.

Here's some fan art of Antje as FemShep, I found on deviantart

I recently watched Man of Steel again and came to the realization that Antje Traue/Faora-Ul has the ability to steal every scene she is in. Not only is she pleasant on the eyes, but she has presence. She's like the Boba Fett in this movie, but with more dialog and we see why Faora is considered badass.

That is why whenever i watch the film again I feel more and more angry at her apparent demise. Despite her fan favorite status, I don't see Snyder and co. ever bringing Antje back as Faora. :(

I liked her better than Zod.
As did I, but I still liked Zod. It's just Zod was more of a commander and Faora was the warrior. Plus when she took on the soldiers in the battle of Smallville that was some amazing action. It really showed how futile it is to fight a Kryptonian when you're just human.

Somebody should teel that to Bruce Wayne.:oldrazz:

Absolutely. She was strong, unpredictable, & unbelievably sexy all in one. I'm happy with what we got to see Faora do because in hindsight, she had a lot of badass moments, but even now I can't help but want to see more of her.

With the right minds at work, there could be a lot that could be done with Faora returning.

Like I mentioned a few pages back - the moment the writers reintroduce the Phantom Zone as a plot device (either for means of imprisoning certain villains or to be used against Superman and allies) or maybe even as a battleground in one of the later MoS or JL installments they also would have to touch on the matter of Faora and the other remaining Kryptonians, as far as I'm concerned.
And I don't see why they wouldn't bring it back some time further down the line given how much of a recurring and fairly important element the Phantom Zone in pretty much every other media featuring Superman (or Supergirl) was and still is.

Totally agree with the scene stealing, but she's got 10x the presence that Boba Fett had, and x10 the menace. She has only a few lines, but those lines are just classic, and that little look she gives Col. Hardy, after he's just emptied his clip at her, to no effect, wow ! True, Fett had a helmet covering his face, but what Antje Traue did with just a few sassy glances was pretty impressive.

Faora has got to be my number 1 female hench-person of all time. Most hench-women are just nasty and annoying and you can't wait for them to get their comeuppance. But Faora, well you're almost sad to see her go, despite the fact that she's a cold, ruthless killer.

Fett got bumped into the sarlaac by a blinded Han Solo, Faora not only steals the scene but she's menacing beyond belief - that bit where she wipes out the platoon of soldiers in about 5 seconds, pure bad-ass-ery !

It would be tragic if we never see her again. I for one would love to see her wipe the floor with Gadot's Wonder Woman. But her amazing work in MOS is still a pretty great way to remember her.

I think it all just comes down to presence. If you have it, it's gonna show and people will pick up on it. And Antje had it in spades. ;)
