well here's something that I haven't seen on here.....who says its Zod who kills Faora? Maybe its Nam-Ek, or Dev-Em, those are the 2 who would seem like the types to go against Zod for their own personal agendas. Faora could find out and try to stop them resulting in......yeah....Nam-Ek definitely seems like the kind who'd do that in a heart beat

Nam-Ek is the 9ft tall dude right? I'm pretty sure the art book says he is pretty Non-esque, a big brute foot soldier literally designed and programmed to take orders. I highly doubt he would disobey Zod or Faora. Jax-Ur on the other hand...

Its probably him, and if thats true, then they messed him up lol. Jax-Ur I doubt will see past Krypton if he's there at all (yes I know what your hinting at lol) in the first movie.

Why wouldn't Jax-Ur see past Krypton? Because he is played by Mackenzie Gray? The character is supposed to be a devious, unethical scientist. He doesn't seem like a frontline soldier likely to be killed in the battle with Jor-El.

Nam-Ek probably not so much:
"The screenplay describes him as silent, a quality that lets his actions do the talking. Nine feet tall, Nam-Ek received genetic programming to give him the ideal traits of an obedient and uncompromising soldier. Nam-Ek is a member of the Warrior Guild and is incapable of leadership, responding only to the orders of his superiors."
I also wouldn't count out Jax-Ur for causing a bit of disagreement aboard Black Zero. He's described as the Kryptonian version of Josef Mengele which very well could result in some friction.

because Jax-Ur has a habit of disappearing and then reappearing when you least expect it lol, more than likely he would be trapped in the Phantom Zone once Krypton is about to explode, in the comics that was explained as one of the ways he survived :)

Well, in the art book, it is explained that
Zod and his insurgent group (which includes Jax-Ur) are sent to the Phantom Zone on board the Black Zero as puishment for their rebellion and that the ship is only able to escape when Krypton's destruction weakens the barrier between normal space and subspace (aka the Zone).

I wonder if Jax will have his little Phantom Zone controller then, he's used it to jump into the Zone and out at will before, some versions in the comics has it, some dont....should be interesting :)

Anyway back to Faora, who else is actually going to feel sorry if/when she dies :(

I'm not expecting it either when the book calls her a 'tigress of Zod' who 'never questions orders'.

True, but a lot of times those types of characters are built up as the 'never questions orders' types so that in the movie when they do question or change sides it's all the more powerful.

And since they keep hammering Faora as the 'tigress of Zod' I could see that type of situation happening where Faora questioning Zod or helping Kal-El could be the moment letting the audience know 'okay, Zod must really be bad now'

Or she could be 100% loyal Soundwave like character. Or heck maybe Zod kills her because she takes his orders TOO far or something.

I found this on wikipedia, there seems to be a version where Faora becomes an ally of jor-el:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faora

"This version of Faora, calling herself "the Tigress of Zod", later returns as an ally of Jor-El."

Would have? More like still would. If she can project kindness as well as she does evilness she could definitely play Wondy.

I think she can. In Pandorum she played a good guy:

After watching this Trailer i think she can also show emotions pretty well:

Just thought everyone would like to know, but I just saw a spot on tv with the scene of Faora lifting up Martha.

I really wouldn't want to see someone who played a Kryptonian in MOS take on the role of another DC character -- especially if the characters are supposed to exist in the same universe.

Interestingly enough, though, Traue has been cast in Bret Ratner's new Hercules film with The Rock. So we'll actually get to see how she performs in a mythological Greek/Roman setting.

Given the fact that Nolan wrote the film. I think the ppl who help Zod wioll be strong and very good support.

I say that because in Superman II Non was weak and cartoonish with his grunts and actions. The female was only slightly better.

oh lord:doh:

I'm still hoping Faora doesn't die and is sent back to the Phantom Zone.

There's been a few people suggesting she actually ends up helping Supes towards the end of the film. Although I hope that's not the case

Chris Nolan didn't write it, maybe at most he had some very minor input, film is written by Goyer and a few others with some polishing by J. Nolan

You just offended the General :D

I've been thinking they'll deconstruct the genetic programming the Kryptonians are using by explicitly stating that Zod can't help himself. Something like his brain is wired to never stop thinking that violence is always the answer, so while he's still the best possible soldier they could create and may be a completely professional and even comparatively humane warrior, he can't shut off his aggression and military mind.

Imagine just how p!$$ed you'd be if you were literally the perfect warrior, yet you failed in your duty to actually protect your people and planet because of that. Then this crazy scientist with great hair tells you his weird old fashioned love-child will be a better man than you in every way and the kid matches you blow for blow in combat.

I'm just thinking there's going to be some major subtext to Zod deciding to kill Kal-El once he decides to stop trying to "save" him.
