It gets said all the time that Stark has the most screen time in Avengers and that's not true. Doesn't matter by how much, another Avengers member has the most screen time (and was originally intended to have more) in that film and thats fact. I was not singling out your post, or discussing solos here.

No I get what you are saying :) but for a lot of people including myself, in fact I think someone else mentioned it on the last page, it just feels like he does and he does get some of the biggest scenes to himself. I don't mind him getting that though, my issue was just with the hate people get for using him as a comparison.

Nothing wrong with having a personal opinion on a character. To me Logan and Scott should be similar to Cap and Iron Man in their roles. Caps part was played while Cycs was not. Which is one of my biggest issues with the franchise and part of why I think Avengers did a better job on the team thing. X-Men is missing their leader and revolves around Logan, for pretty much all of it for the most part. I understand there was not room for Scott in the story they wanted to tell. But we are talking about the leader of the X-men. There should be a role there that's at the least balanced out to Wolverine imo. Cyc should be one of the main priorities, just like Cap, Iron Man and Logan have been.

X3 and First Class both had working together as a team final battles.

In X3 they strategised when tricking Magneto into focusing on one while Beast attacked and injected him with the cure.

In First Class Xavier guided Magneto to shaw. Beast battled Azazel and Mystique aided beast by tricking Azazel. Banshee helped Havok escape the soldiers and fought Angel.

As for the Iron Man/Wolverine debate... Iron Man had the most 'key' scenes in the movie, thats why people say it was Iron Man and the Avengers, and he's now taking the most significant contribution of Antman.

Agreed!:woot:

Hey everyone!

If you post comments that serve no purpose other than being snarky and rude to each other, then guess what? Your post is getting deleted.

And if you keep up the attitude, the infractions will start.

Let's play nice. Keep the comments directed at the discussion, not at each other.

people keep saying cap was the leader

sorry i just didn't buy it and evans did'nt sell me on it either tony still felt like the leader

he can give orders all he wants evans just didn't sell it to me

i like evans but he is the only avengers who i dont fully see as that character and wouldn't mind a recast

It's easy to see why people think he's the leader though personal opinions aside. A person who gives orders with authority like that is obviously in command.

If a guy tells freaking Hulk to smash and he obeys with a smile, you have a leader right there.

Cap gave orders but up until that point he was never established as a man to follow, they didn't have any real reason to let him order them.

He became the strategist of the team at the end. But a leader must command respect and indisputed trust, in that regard Cap wasn't special but equal to others on the team, Thor, Iron Man or Widow could've told the others what to do and they'd be as likely to accept it.

I think TWS will attempt to establish him as the man to look to for guidance and leadership more so than the other heroes

(Cap is a sore spot for me. I loved him in TFA but in Avengers he never felt like a continuation of that character. Imo he needed more time in WW2 to become the living legend and master strategist he is supposed to be)

The only superhero leaders i can think of in CBMs is Xavier and Professor Broom, they each command lots of respect, are looked to as mentors and the only one capable of that role.

As soon as they started working as a team cap gave orders, that's the moment they really 'assembled'.I'd love to see Cyclops doing something like that in an x-men movie.

As would i. I hope they continue with the first Class era and introduce a younger Cyclops, Jean and Storm

Yup, which is where it matters. A team coming together is the point of the flick. They can't start off that way, they need to work through differences. Stark and Rogers argue through most the flick. The fact it's ego maniac Stark who asks for orders at all in the end pushes the point that Cap's the leader even more.

^I'm not counting on that. It would be nice but I see it being the Wolverine show again. Which is annoying even if the movie is good.

In someways with wolverine in the past might just give OT some room, but we don't know how much they will appear....I'm sure trask, mystique both magnetos and prof x will get similar screen time rivalling wolverine

I like Jackman as Logan. The Wolverine was Awesome. But DOFP needs to be a X-Men Movie, not a Wolverine Movie.

^ At this point I fear that DOFP will be another Wolverine and the X-men type film however I do hope I'm wrong. I just hope that they don't make X-Force a Wolverine and the X-Force movie.

last shooting day. and who is next to Singer ? Wolverine. enough is enough.

I thought the same.

How surprising.

How many Wolverine pics we got during filming?..... like 4 or so.

Rogue pics? 0
Kitty? 1.
Colossus? 0

We all know who Singer loves the most.
