I loved the episode it was great to see so many people who've died. The only people missing were Moria and Walter but it's okay. It would of been nice to see them in those roles again. There were some fun moments in this episode. Speaking of which somebody needs to make a meme with Thea hitting Slade. OMG the expression on his face afterwards was priceless.

Pretty damn good hour of TV right there.
I admit, I usually say a carnal sin of SH shows is not having "the suit" involved at some point. But I didn't really miss it. This was this season's "Flashback episode",but I would have liked an episode with a little more Slade as the focus. Maybe next year.

It was fun seeing all the old cast back together as their "before Arrow" selves.

It was really cool getting a glimpse of Digg's brother.Although,I thought Digg would've been doing a tour still at that point.

I love seeing Tommy any chance we get. I still really hope they bring him back 'Red Hood' style.

Lance with hair! I'm reminded once again why I hated his character in the first season.:woot:

The Felicity one probably wasn't necessary, but it was cute seeing her as she used to behave again.:oldrazz:

Marc Singer is always welcome. Hope his role is interesting.

Having Ollie kill the drug dealer seemed consistent with S1 Ollie, but he had to know how risky that was, going to Tommy's.

I'm glad they did the sensible thing of having Ollie think about breaking away. I mean, his family is rich & famous. I'm guessing they wouldn't be quite so defenseless. Why would he need to go back to Hong Kong to be debriefed? They can't do that in the States? Again,it seems they're stretching the story just to keep him at bay.

Thea was very good here. It was probably a mistake having her turn on Malcolm last episode, when she had a much more compelling reason here. Willa did a great job with the Sara Revelation. So kudos to her. Barrowman was great too, since I had felt he'd been phoning in most of the last few episodes. I hope this Malcolm storyline ends with a fight between Malcolm,Thea & Oliver. I'll be pretty disappointed if he dies by Ra's hand, but I suppose that's the only way he could die.(and I'm guessing he will die this season)
I loved the whole 'Khan' scene. "I'll leave you as you left me.." "SLADE!!!" :woot::woot:

The hoodie greasepaint gag was funny.:D

I'm glad they gave us a glimpse of how Quinton is taking Sara's death. It seems he has the natural reaction. I really can't blame Laurel for keeping it from him, knowing how he took her death the first time.(as we were reminded this very episode) Laurel should've clarified that Mama Lance pretty much figured out the truth on her own.

Anyway, great episode. Seems like the reverse of last season, where the last few episodes were unwieldy after a strong set up. Here, the whole season has been unwieldy, but it seems the wind up is getting stronger each episode.

Yeah, no more secrets. Except maybe the drug dealer he murdered in Starling City when Thea was at Tommy's party. That secret's still there.
the dead man switch of a video that Malcolm pulled on oliver to get in the first place to be almost killed by Ras. Oliver didn't tell her about that part. Or that he was kicked off a cliff for it while ran through.

there's still alot she doesn't know the she's been in incriminated by her biological old man

as I said
OMG the one thing the Arrow lair Lock Needs but Oliver & Diggle both of all people / characters refuse to get for it.

A freaking finger print or hand print Scanner they actually have one in the freaking i the office build of QC on the show, yet those two never acquired one for the Arrow lair, when Oliver had money they failed that HQ.

Ok now that's out of the way, Well at least thea knows about killing Sara .

Too bad she doesn't know about the Ransom dead man switch of a video of her doing it that will happen if Malcolm dies which will have Nyssa after her Not Ras, Nyssa. cause IT'LL BE ALL OVER THE WEB. that & Oliver doesn't know how to get rid of that problem. & he had a hack of a girl friend

Yeah, that didn't bother me either and I thought the episode flew by so fast.

That was awesome... nice seeing Slade again, the man is so badass.

Really cool nods to what has come before, really surprised the got "Curtis from 24" to show back up. Great, that Thea stood up to Merlyn but understands Ollie's need for him.

It's cool this show can rock right along with Ollie not donning the suit. Shows how much depth it has... but, he did have a green jacket with a hoodie and a green hoodie-sweathshirt haha.

With this Army guy have connections to Eiling from The Flash or where are they going with that?

For a minute there,I thought the military guy was going to be Eiling.

to me the funny part's were those two & the fact there was a finger print scanner for the QC computers which the arrow lair lock needs it's self . Seriously.

It's interesting. I was going to say in my review, there really isn't much for the naysayers to complain about in this episode. But so far, there are 5 votes below the 9 point range. No one has really spoken up yet, but what were the objections,if I may ask? (And I'm guessing I'll be sorry I did. :D)

Hopefully it's not just the wig.

Ok Ollie did kill the drug dealer with out gloves that would leave prints. I didn't put up my vote BTW but seeing he didn't have a record beside being dead , they can get away with that I guess .

Looks like the Army guy is Matthew Shrieve. I don't know anything about him beyond what DC Wiki said, he's never been in any of my Batman comics... looks like he's the equivalent to a DC Comics version of a SHIELD type guy.

Well, I voted a 7 by mistake. It was meant to be 8.

Yeah,I thought of that too,but when you have Laurel running around as BC with fingerless gloves.....

Quinton named her "Black Canary" tonight,BTW.....

no that would wonder woman old flame steve Trevor who'd stilll take orders from Waller . he's new to me too I do't seem to remember much about him.

.....
oh yeah he did & it was in the flash back too.

So Ollie gets recruited by the military but isn't ordered to shave his hair? There's no way they make him cut it and then it grows back twice the length in the same amount of time.

Time Travel adventure confirmed.

Good episode but of course they had to go out of their way for Olicity to have a moment without having a moment.

I wasn't really a fan of seeing all the characters that will eventually play a role in Ollie's life. Did we really need to see Diggle as some glorified Bouncer at Tommy's Party? Wasn't a fan of that face paint joke either. It was supposed to be a cute foreshadowing joke, but I just felt annoyed. Or the vigilante comment. We get it, he will eventually run around as the Arrow. I watch the bloody show, I don't need to get reminded of it.

When Quentin said all those things to Laurel, it felt like the fans complaining about the character. Kinda chuckled when he pointed out her attraction to bad boys, because that's one of the points I complained plenty about.

And then there's Slade. I expected a bit more. And I was hoping that he'd actually get off the Island.

Yay, that really bugged me for some reason. I guess it was the way that they had Felicity walk around like had any importance at that point. It really felt forced, and doesn't make sense that Oliver would never mention that he saw her from afar years before.

Well Marc did say it was a love letter to the fans.

Isn't every episode practically a love letter to the fans? If anything, it would make more sense for Oliver and Laurel to have a "moment" in the past.

.

Yeah, it really was useless. I know the actors get paid regardless if they are in the episode or not but not like it would be the first time the left a main character out.

I was hoping he'd get over Shado. What happened to that "new direction" they were talking about?

Despite that, he was still the best part of the episode. That, and Lance calling Laurel out.

They went to the island for training, barely trained, had a short tussle with Slade, then went back home. Well, at least all secrets are revealed now. So hopefully in the future we won't have anyone whining about keeping secrets anymore.

I feel like they have Oliver interacting with way to many people/affiliations in the past. Now he has been part of the Army? But secretive? Because Argus wasn't enough. Just to many hands in the cookie jar.
