Oliver and Diggle with Merlyn, Laurel with Nyssa? That's odd. My guess is this is early in the episode, before the showdown between Oliver and Merlyn. And yeah, Merlyn will not die here, so how are they going to work this out? Even if it is Thea who dies, this can't be how, because Oliver and Felicity were too mad at Darhk about it for it to be something unrelated to him.

They said Laurel will have a heart to heart with Nyssa which mean they'll be doing it via fist's and weapons. Well we'll see. She didn't tell her sister about what happened to Nyssa. Not that we've seen any way . Oh Laurel.

I know they won't kill Malcolm, but I'd love to see someone (preferably Nyssa) beat the s*** out of him for an extended period of time, considering he killed hundreds including his son, drugged Thea and made her kill Sara, Used Thea killing Sara to blackmail Oliver into facing Ra's instead of paying the consequences, and then played them like a fiddle to take over as the next Ra's. I think there's a good case to be made that Merlyn was the real main villain in season 3.

Because, so far as we know, Oliver had become the best martial artist on the planet after his al-Sahhim phase. And because he can get close to Merlyn without him suspecting anything. League of... wait for it... Assassins remember?

Because Oliver is one the best fighters in the world and is a superior fighter to Nyssa. He also beat Malcolm before. Nyssa has shown before that she can beat Merlyn, but they are pretty even fighters. Getting Oliver on her side gives her a better chance of success.

From someone like Nyssa you'd excpect that she wouldn't take this title in such cheap manner. She definitely has some code of honour and I truly hope that she won't take this title unless she beats Merlyn herself fair and square in a battle. The two of them seemed quite even matched in earlier battles so it's not exactly like her chances are super low to win this on her own.

However the preview pics do not exactly look hopeful, probably going to end in a boring ass trade of ring and lotus. I'd rather see Nyssa die than accepting a Merlyn Deal for the sake of this title. This is the showdown this character has been waiting for and built up to and it's going to be very disappointing if turns out that Oliver once again has to step in and save everyone's butt. Don't think Nyssa can leave Star City holding her head high while knowing that Oliver gifted her this title. There's no use for the Nyssa character anymore anyway so let her have her moment of glory and then let Katrina Law move on to Legends and come up with a Sara/Nyssa Backstory.

Also, can someone explain why Nyssa, instead of destroying the Lazarus pit after Sara's resurrection, didn't think of going for that Lotus first and healing Sara? It makes no sense that she didn't use it for Sara but now she's using it for Thea.

If you find the idea of Oliver becoming a superior fighter to Nyssa ridiculous, then you must find comics in general to be ridiculous. Maybe this medium just isn't for you. Arrow is no sinking ship either, I don't really know where that came from.

Look, we all have our favorites and our not so favorites, but please explain to me how Oliver being a better fighter than Nyssa is ridiculous. Really, because I'm all ears.

Season 3 may be weak, but it happened. Under Ra's Al-Ghul's tutelage Oliver became, as far as the audience knows, the best fighter in the world. That was established when he beat Ra's who pretty much humiliated his daughter. Did you forget that when Oliver was going by Al-Sahhim that all of the Arrow Family were ****ting bricks because he was that good?

Call it ridiculous all you want, but in this instance I call it narrative consistency.

I don't think it matter who the best fighter is since he or she can be defeated by a weak opponent. Oliver LOA should at least make him better and stronger. Nyssa could probably beat Oliver but seem like she clouded by emotion every time they fight

I had problems with narrative consistency though when that crooked lady cop Liza Warner managed to stab Oliver in S4 ep 4.4 "Beyond Redemption."

Oliver went through this patch in like the first 5-6 episodes of this season where he was clearly fighting without his heart in it. He was doing it more out of duty than because he actually wanted to be, and he actually lost to most of the villains he fought (Darhk, Warner, Anarky, and Double Down). We've been able to see lately, especially since Felicity's been crippled, that he's back to full skill again. Plus, you have to think, at the beginning of this season it had been months since he'd fought. No doubt he'd be rusty. He's back in the groove now.
