Finally they gave some kick to the Canary Cry.

It still sounds weak but at least it had some force behind it.

Everything just feels like a breathe of fresh air. New costumes, new lair, new team dynamic, Oliver's not so dark and brooding anymore, Sara's back, a threatening villain. This season is reminding me why I fell in love with this show in the first place.

Second everything you said liked seeing Oliver vulnerable and lance saving him too

Loved this episode. The acting was really strong this week.

Really enjoyed this episode. This scene was my favorite. Hope they can get Lexi Alexander to direct another one at some point.

It was a love fest on twitter from people like Patton Oswalt all congratulating her on the episode.

Freaking amazing episode. 10/10
Arrow is back, and is way better than the Flash this season.

Very good episode, I give it a 9. The scenes between Lance and Darhk and Lance and Oliver were great. It was a Detective Lance episode and I thought he was brilliant. I thought the Sara stuff was good too. Laurel just wont give up on her. There is delusion on her part and she is clearly not thinking straight (she never does when it comes to her family and she is like Oliver in that regard) but I still admire how she wont stop believing in Sara and I feel sorry for her. Quentin's speech at the end which saved Oliver was a good one and I really like where they are going with his character. I wonder what was in the box that Darhk got at the end. I also thought that Laurel's, Thea's and Quentin's reactions to Oliver saying that he was going to run for mayor were quite funny.

The Episode was pretty good, but everything Laurel is still very bad. It's actually starting to be comical. Like when Lance was about to shoot Sara, suddenly Laurel comes out of nowhere. Where did she come from? She didn't take the stairs to the basement, so she was already down there, somewhere. And as soon as she's in the frame, she's already in crying mode. No look of confusion, or a moment of realizing what is actually happening. The sad face is on instantly.

Then there's the moment she gets tasered. When she dropped to the ground and got knocked out cold, it looks like she just peacefully went to sleep. Her unconscious acting was about on par with Cotillard's death acting in that moment.

Everything with Lance was great, and I loved seeing his reaction to Sara being alive, and then his struggle, when he realized his daughter didn't come back at all, and that there was only one possible outcome. But all we get from Laurel are crazy eyes and sad face.

Haha these cops looked more impressive than the ghost or LOA.
Oliver lose a lot of fight this season and it was weird that they didn't take Laurel.
I'm hype for Constantine though.

I liked the episode. Throughout I kept thinking there was something different about the episode and then I checked. This is the one directed by Alexander.

I think some of you might be one to something, RE: Oliver going soft. Those cops should t have been able to challenge him at all.

Mind you, those cops were specially trained and equipped as part of the anti-vigilante task force; meaning they were trained specifically to counter against Team Arrrow's tactics and combat style.

That's what I've been thinking as well. The Oliver from the previous 3 seasons should would have made short work out of those guys.

Sure, but I think they were too good at it. Oliver was trained by several master combatants; Laurel and Thea were trained by members of the League of Assassins; and Diggle is no slouch.

Perhaps but this was the exact scenario the cops had trained for - namely a direct head-to-head fight where the cops have the element of surprise in the form of their specially-adapted gear. Remember, the cops had expected Team Arrow to show up after they killed the clean cops.

Yes, please, laud the filmmaker-turned-TV-stopgap-director who's alienated every ally they've ever had and is pro-piracy. Should end well!

Lexi Alexander is a crazy person who threatened to have her followers pirate Everly bc I openly disagreed w her stance on piracy.

@hedofthebloom I don't think half the people who put her in the limelight really know the truth...

@SatuRuna It's easy to buy into her victim ********, but the truth is she is the one who victimizes people.

@hedofthebloom @SatuRuna & uses the victim status to bully anyone who points out the logical fallacies in her stances. "you're a sexist" etc

@MysteryCr8tve @SatuRuna If you're against Lexi Alexander, you're against women working in Hollywood. That is her platform. It's ludicrous.
Incidentally, I did really like this episode, but God, her persona/demeanor is terrible.

She was nice enough chat with me on twitter after the episode aired.

I think it would be simple to have Laurel either up stairs in her apartment or downstairs with Sara pacing around with some tears in her eyes. Throw in something like "you're my sister, I love you so much, did I do the right thing, am i in over my head" and that already makes this rushed storyline slightly better. Hell having her look at the pictures of her and sister and do some flashbacks of the two during their happier times would add to the story.

Agreed, shame these writers have always been hit or miss. Like I said a few months ago, it would've been better to use an Earth-2 Sara for Legends of Tomorrow instead of this nonsense that makes the characters look awful. I told you so Arrow writers! ;)

But like others have said, this season is better than S3 and Arrow is the better show so far IMO, thanks to Oliver's progression and Damien Darhk being a much better villain than Zoom and his lame freaks of the week trying to kill Barry, that thing got old already.

Speaking of Damien, he should know Oliver is the Arrow, the whole LOA knows! He's a former member, he should be able to get that information, in fact, it is dumb he doesn't know it already, hopefully it will be fixed soon. Overall, despite some flaws, the episode was good and that scene between Ollie and Quentin was great, good dialogue and wonderful acting by Paul Blackthorne and Stephen Amell.
