New video on XBL for the 4th of July.
Yeah, I think it was mentioned to Desmond in one of the first two games that Eagle Vision was a "gift" that Assassin's had. However, I don't know about the climbing and stuff. I mean it was shown that Ezio and his brother liked to scale buildings as a hobby, so maybe that's somewhat of an added ability too.
Alright despite playing a decent portion of AC2 i'm wondering if being an assassin grants you special physical powers or are they just very well trained? Watching the way ezio and especially videos of connor now they sort of move more like superheroes do instead of normal humans.
True, although now I'm beginning to think it had more to being trained than natural ability. I man the hired assassin's were just regular people. Plus, the thieves and mercs would follow you up buildings too, so I don't think it was something Assassins were born with. The fact that your hired assassins in Brotherhood can do all the monkey-climbing and parkour stuff indicates that it's a shared trait among assassins, not just something Ezio did in his spare time.
"Plot revolves around a man who learns his ancestors were trained assassins after he is kidnapped by a secret org with ties to the Knights Templar, and sent back in time to retrieve historical artifacts."

If time travel is involved, then it's already been ruined.
Yeah, I don't think they did too much research about the games for that article. They said the third AC games was going to be released this year, when it's more like the fifth, at least in terms of consoles.
this always made me wonder, have they ever explained why eagles are associated with the Assassins ( with the eagle vision and all )?
I just thought that, if they used any kind of bird, ravens/crows would seem to be a better fit for assassins........
Eagles are more majestic i guess?

yeah......but I'd associate eagles more with the Knight Templars (even though they are the bad guys.....lol).
ravens/crows are more crafty and that fits assassins more, imo..........but I'm biased, of course.....![]()
True, but it just sounds like something that someone who isn't really familiar with the franchise would say.Yea but its still the 3rd numbered title, so they aren't wrong. The previous two were just unnecessary filler until 3 was ready to be revealed.
Eagles have always been known to have both spiritual and philosophical significance and symbolism. Here's something I found online that kind of sums it up.this always made me wonder, have they ever explained why eagles are associated with the Assassins ( with the eagle vision and all )?

yeah.......but it would have been kind of cool if they reversed the traditional "roles" of the birds.
instead of being bad, ravens would good (associated with Assassins), and eagles would be bad (associated with Templars).
and ravens, too, have deep spiritual significance/symbolism, and they act as a prophet role, too, bridging past, present, future.........
Right but none of that matters when the first thing that the avg individual thinks of when you mention raven or crow, is evil or darkness.

Fun little fact - Ben Franklin was against choosing the eagle for the national bird. He wanted thought the turkey was a far more majestic choice.
