Assassin´s Creed III - Part 1

I've been excited for the official third game since I finished two a couple years ago. I hadn't bothered to get Brotherhood or Revelations just yet as I knew there was more to come and I was in no hurry. However yesterday I picked up Revelations at Best Buy for $20, now I just need to get Brotherhood and play through them before fall comes around the corner.

This game needs to be in my xbox. Right now.

Three new screenshots have just been released by Ubisoft, and CVG have a little inside knowledge on the multiplayer. As well as a four versus four king-of-the-hill-style Domination mode, there are environmental kills, which mean you can topple trees on your opponents to squish them. There are also three confirmed characters: The Commander, The Carpenter and The Lady Maverick. Who we’re going to assume feature in these screenshots.

Yeah, I was excited about that. It'll be great for the stealth aspects of the game or for all those 'tail this guy' sections, to actually be able to take cover, instead of awkwardly standing around a corner

Or close to the edge of a rooftoop looking down in plain daylight!

That makes me wonder how fragile some limbs are in the game. I think it'd be cool as hell --- and deliciously cruel --- to have some tree limbs breakable. Not only would it be fun to drop them on enemies below, but I just envision a scenario where Connor is flying through the trees, doing his Tarzan thing while trying to escape an enemy patrol below, and all of a sudden grabs the wrong limb and CRACK. Drops 100 feet to the forest floor; stands up bloodied and dazed, and now the patrol is on him....GAME OVER, DUDE, GAME OVER

I haven't been this excited for AC game since two. I gotta take my hat off to UBisoft this series just jumps from leaps and bounds.

this is my most anticipated game of the year. I can't wait to get my hands on this.

Seasons Trailer! :D (Not sure if this was posted before) But we get a good look at Connor ^^

Looks like one of those scenes was in a jungle; probably the Lost Mayan Ruins DLC. I'm wondering now what other locations are in this game that they haven't been telling us about --- originally, they seemed to indicate it was all about Boston, New York and the New England frontier; but there's clearly gameplay in the Caribbean and Mexico or Costa Rica (I forget where the Mayan DLC is set); and of course, Aveline from the PSP Vita game is in New Orleans, and they said that she and Connor meet at some point, but I don't know which game....maybe both.

LE has been announced for $120. A bit too expensive IMO.

Eh, I prefer my Freedom or Die edition. That statue, George Washington's diary, art book and 3 bits of DLC (2 story missions, 1 mp character). Cheaper too.

Yep. Both EU LE are far superior. At least they have actual game content included. Love

The in game content for me is usually the priority, especially with the AC series. Sure it usually only amounts to like a 30 minute mission and a weapon but ever since AC 2, i've wanted every bit of DLC I can get, right out of the gate.

Alright despite playing a decent portion of AC2 i'm wondering if being an assassin grants you special physical powers or are they just very well trained? Watching the way ezio and especially videos of connor now they sort of move more like superheroes do instead of normal humans.

it's a video game.

they're just trained to physical perfection. it's why they seem to be able to do stuff no human can and again, it's a video game.

There are elements of superhuman traits though, through DNA. Eagle vision is represented as a special ability

Yeah, I think it was mentioned to Desmond in one of the first two games that Eagle Vision was a "gift" that Assassin's had. However, I don't know about the climbing and stuff. I mean it was shown that Ezio and his brother liked to scale buildings as a hobby, so maybe that's somewhat of an added ability too.
