The money situation has been rough lately for me, so I think I'm going to take the chance and end up waiting until Black Friday to buy this, if I can. After seeing how the price dropped for the last two, I think I'd be better off waiting a little while longer, although this is going to prove to be a long wait.

Yea, this is just one of those games i absolutely cannot wait for. Im gonna hold off on RE6 so thatll give me a little extra cash at the end of Oct.

If I wasnt getting it as part of the PS3 bundle, Id be doing the same. Brotherhood was $30 within the first month!

Interesting ...

Assassin's Creed III DLC Season Pass Confirmed
The first time the series has offered such a deal.

Assassin's Creed III will have a season pass for its DLC, this week's PlayStation Store Update has confirmed.

The season pass will be included in the Gold Edition of Assassin's Creed III but it will also be sold separately after the game's launch, clarified community manager for PlayStation Digital Platforms Kristine Steimer in the comments following the update.

A leaked letter from July, reportedly sent to Gamestop by Ubisoft, revealed Ubisoft was establishing a team dedicated solely towards creating Assassin's Creed III downloadable content and shared that consumers would be able to buy a 'Season Pass' to access all of the content.

Assassin's Creed III will launch for Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 30 in North America and October 31 in Europe and ANZ. PC and Wii U versions are due in late November.

And going along with that heres the DLC that season pass will contain:

George Washington Becomes King

Ubisoft has announced new downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed III. Set in an alternate version of history, The Tyranny of King Washington is a single-player campaign that will be told through multiple downloadable content packs and features George Washington becoming king of America.

“As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges,” Ubisoft explains. “Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.........."

That sounds awesome. When I first read about the Season Pass, I was a little undecided because I wasn't really expecting them to do much single player DLC, but rather focus more on MP packs and maps. But if they are going to add more chapters/sequences like they did with ACII, then I'm definitely down.

Yea im glad to see they are doing SP DLC, altho im not much into "What If" scenarios, even the the orig is fictional itself. Still, i have a feeling its going to be really hard to pass up SP content for this game.

I wonder if this "What if" will be canon in the AC universe?

I dont believe it is.

From Kotaku:

A $30 "season pass", announced today, will get you a large single-player add-on called The Tyranny of King George. It will be delivered in three parts and is not just fictional but non-canonical

I already dropped $120 on the Limited Edition, I hope they decide to throw in the season pass with it.

Well shoot, guess i'm gonna need to pay up another 30 dollars. It isn't a let down honestly since I planned on getting all the DlC anyways.

look at the picture he has the POE, i think by the ending he gets it and does the right thing , or does he?

Washington is totally a templar. He was a templar in real life for goodness sakes. AND the glyphs in ACII and ACB reveal that the main world gov'ts are run by Templars. I don't understand why people don't want to admit it... Is it an issue of American pride, or do people think Ubisoft wouldn't do it?

all the templars are not bad , i think Washigton will make a choice to use it for good or evil stuff in the true ending is obviously good , it ´ll be like The Force Unleahed alterative endings kind things

I don't think he'll be like "pure bad" or "good". He's just going to naturally use the power of the apple to hide things from the masses, which he deems too dangerous for them to know. Connor will disagree, but he kind of nods at him farewell and they go their separate ways.

It's like, under different circumstances they would have been the best of friends, but because of this one anomaly, they can't. Think Fox and the Hound.

Connor will be like you are a Templar but because what you mean to your people,i won´t kill you, but if you thread my people or your people, i´ll comeback for you..and he just leaves him

Whatever the outcome, I'm excited to see their relationship in game.

They consider Washington to be a friend of Conners tho. Maybe by friend they just mean '2 people fighting for the same thing' or maybe that friendship gets strained at some point. This dlc isn't a continuation of the story tho, it's an alt take.

Not sure how I feel about that DLC.

And I read on IGN that the season pass will be included in the collectors edition

If thats accurate thats pretty big. No company gives that much away in their collectors editions.
