Assassins Creed Odyssey

Even though I feel like I've been Assassin's Creeded out for years, the RPG mechanics do sound intriguing, especially branching dialogue. Hopefully the writing will be up to par, and the narrative choices will have real depth. I have no interest in another Fallout 4. Ubisoft knows how to crafting beautiful looking worlds, but they've yet to truly exploit them to their fullest potential. Having huge maps is irrelevant when the quests are so facile.

The Medusa fight is on YouTube. It reveals the explanation for why Medusa is in the game.

There is a First Civilization artifact, shaped sort of like a snake. It seems the artifact mutates a person into the Medusa monster and gives them all sorts of powers. An NPC's loved one found the artifact somehow and it mutated her into a Medusa. The fight takes place in the ruins of a First Civilization temple.

The medusa myth that the Ancient Greeks told was based on the women that had been mutated by the artifact. The ancient greeks didnt understand the real reason behind the mutation and the Medusa. Kassandra/Alexios take the artifact after the fight.

I wonder if the minotaur will be the same.

The first 30 minutes were posted on YouTube, from a legit source, but then got quickly taken down. Guess it was released too early or something.

I kept the video on, and I'm still watching.

No spoilers review:

A bunch of other reviews have been released as well. Seems this is another great Assassin's Creed.

So watch out if you visit YouTube, stupid asshats are putting end game spoilers in their thumbnails.

I've been seeing some of those, a little over half a week from release and people are posting all the different endings and endgame gear tutorials all over youtube and putting the spoilers right in the titles and thumbnails, I truly hate some of the gaming youtubers out there.

for those who have played this, how much character customization ( appearance wise ) is available?

can you, for example, change the main character's hair style and hair color?

I still have to wait another month to play this game. Sounds like it’s a great game. Can’t wait!

Got some lets plays from EPN.tv (Aka the Electric play ground) befor the Review. The Second one is spoilery so that will be in spoiler tag's

No so far I see no way of changing Kassandra's hair. Curiously tho, the clothing and the character change depending on the piece of clothing and the combination of clothing. For example, I have a hood. It looks like an assassin hood. If I put it on Kassandra with a red breastplate the hood turns a spartan red. But if I put the hood on with a white light chest piece the hood turns white and Kassandra has red facial tattoos and red body tattoos. That's the most drastic change I've seen. I'm not sure how varied those alterations can become with different clothing combinations.

It'll be a while before I can play this but I'm intrigued at the black panther Easter egg they have.

What's funny is I played origins through a few months ago and was telling my friend how much I could see a big open world action rpg black panther game. Then they go and throw this little Easter egg here. The tinfoil hat fan in me would love to think that Ubi is secretly working on a BP game.
