Looks promising, not building my hopes too much, but am hoping this can be video games "break out" movie that can open the doors to things like Metal Gear, Mass Effect and The Witcher that in my opinion have even more potential.

The talent involved in this certainly couldnt be much better.

I Just like that they're setting it within the same Canon as the games. So it doesn't touch or ruin anything that the games have set in place.

I just want the parkour to look good. Cinematic and visually exciting. The opposite of what POP fans were given in that poor excuse for a POP movie.

Prince of Persia was yet another immensely disappointing videogame adaption. I can't believe that after making a freakin hit movie about Ghost Pirates that Jerry Bruckhiemer allowed the film version not have the freakin zombies from the Sands of Time game. It was just a baffling decision along with the casting of the prince.

It wasnt Jerry's decision. It was Mike Newells decision. He made some equally boneheaded decisions on Goblet of Fire as well. He 's an absolutely horrid fantasy director imo.

Came back from Macbeth, Yeah I think this movie is in good hands with visuals but don't expect any great action sequences with wunderbar choreography, but great shots and colors for sure!

This is understandable giving the history of video game adaptations so far. Hitman last year managed to be even worse than the first film and probably the worst thing I saw in a cinema last year. (and considering that includes Terminator Genysis thats quite the acheivment!)

Something has to buck the trend though and overcome this stigma. The talent in this gives me hope this can be to video game films what X-Men/Spiderman did for comic book movies.

Yeah, I feel like if this movie is bad then there truly is no hope for video game adaptations. I mean, you have a really popular game with an interesting story to pull from, great actors all around and talent behind the camera as well. If this one doesn't work, nothing will.
