It just crossed my mind. What about Sokka? I know Katarra said he passed away, but did he have any children or grandchildren? It would have been cool if Korra turned out to be his granddaughter and one of her parents his kid.

Does he Sokka have kids though? If so I wonder if he had any by or eventually married Suki? How many girlfriends did that guy have lol.

Awesome lol...I thought you were kidding about the Journal until I clicked on the link LOL. Hilarious that the Journal is covering the finale. Just goes to show how good this series is.

Yeah, I'll have to check out some of the tumblr accounts. Thanks for the heads up....and here I thought I was a super fan lol.

Although farfetched I am hoping Iroh is Bumi and The Fire Lady's son so he calls Tenzin Uncle. Bumi in the one picture of him is wearing fire nation garb so it is possible.

The three things I need to hear Iroh say are:
3. Uncle
2. Tea
1. Honor

Bonus points if it is in one sentence like: It would be my honor to have tea with you uncle Tenzin! ^_^

I would fangasm so hard.

This needs to be mentioned in show and not just in the website:

Korra the FIRST to tame one? We need flashbacks in season 2!!

Basically her only friend until she reached Republic City.

This is why I love Nick:
http://www.nick.com/pictures/legend-of-korra/korra-who-is-amon-flipbook.html

A list of suspects for Amon:
Tarrlok
Hiroshi Sato
Lin Beifong
Triple Threat Triad Thug 2
Republic City Civilian
Pema
Yakone
Fire Lord Ozai
Pabu
Aang

And they give reasons why it could be each!

Haha, that's great. They're recalling having fun toying with the fans.

But I actually think they're indirectly telling us that Amon is NONE of those people. They wouldn't spoil the finale, even if it were just for giggles.

So I'm hoping, praying, and wanting so badly Amon is just Amon - a brand new individual character.

Do Avatars have siblings?

I don't think its ever been mentioned but I don't see why not. For those of you interested in the concept of reincarnation I'd recommend the movie "Little Buddha" which is to be taken with a pinch of salt:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Buddha#Reception

Not so much because Keanu Reeves is in it but because the story seems watered down and the concepts of reincarnation and spiritual enlightenment lack the depth that most Hindu/Buddhist scriptures teach.

I remember liking Little Buddha when I was a teen. I should really give it another watch.

It's an interesting look at Tibetan Buddhism and the early life of Siddharta.

But the focus I draw upon is that the concept that a person may not always be reincarnated as another person but rather aspects of the former might be split among several others in the reincarnation cycle. Whether that is actually true in Buddhism/Hinduism I can't say but that was a major story point in the movie.

Which might once again lead to the "split" reincarnation theory for Amon.

Not sure about Amon, but having two Avatars would certainly be an interesting concept. Avatar civil war.

After seeing Amon shrug off Tarlok's bloodbending, I'm starting to like this idea of an anti-Avatar, which I'm sure is how Amon likes to think of himself.

An anti avatar is definitely a great concept and I'd love to see it happen. Watching Amon just shrug off Tarrlok was one of the most amazing things I've seen on either show. They better have a really good explanation and part avatar would be a great twist.

If there is an Anti-Avatar they need to do the origin right. Either he has been blessed by a spirit or he was born with Aang "died" at the end of season 2.

I read a great theory about how when Aang was hit by the lighting at the end of season 2, that because he was in the Avatar State, the Avatar spirit might have "moved on" or even split into Amon, only for it to abandon Amon after Aang came back.

Thus Amon is the spiritual side of the Avatar, while Korra is the physical side.

So its a pseudo-Buffy theory you're talking about.

Why now that I think about it, yes. Yes it is.

It's actually a popular theory that might have merit. I tend to argue against it because of the "Escape from the Spirit World" extra from Book 2: Earth. I interpreted it as Aang being stuck in the Spirit World, unable to complete the Avatar cycle because he was still in the process of...well...dying.

On the matter of Iroh, I did find it a bit strange that he always seemed like the kind of person who never does anything rash and always think things through, but in the second or third episode of season one he does open fire on Appa and the gang when Aang is escaping from Zuko.
I always thought that was very un-characteristic of Iroh.

I've just re-watched the first half of book 1 and don't remember Iroh giving any orders to fire on Aang.

Really? Second episode, about 19 minutes in, both Zuko and Iroh throw a massive fireball against Appa.

Just watched it. Iroh and Zuko are trying to shoot down Appa. Not exactly sure how it is rash. Also Iroh just woke up. :woot:
