Subtext is as far as that's going to go I would think. Plus, is it even reciprocated?

In cartoons, all it would take is for one character to make the other blush and that would be enough to make it official enough to be a thing. Another thing, the way those two were more or less joined at the hip this whole season I think it was a way to prime the viewer of a possible relationship in the future. Personally, I think they are already a thing. Only thing that makes me doubtful is when Korra volunteered to give herself up, Asami was, to me noticeably silent when I thought she be one of the most vocal.
 
Bisexuality on a kids' cartoon? Won't that destroy America? The Roman Empire ended when they grew more permissive of homosexuality.
