Don't watch The Last Airbender, watch the original show again instead ;)

It's not really, but draws a lot from anime as far as how they represent emotions, pacing, animation etc. I would consider this anime-rica (see, see what I did there, did you see...see, ah nevermind)

It may be 'influenced' by traditional anime, but it is not the least bit like Japanese anime.

No, I don't see what you did, cause it doesn't make any sense.

Sorry, I don't mean to offend you, but I have seen over 250 anime series.
And this is NOTHING at all like anime.

Once again sorry

I hope they don't hold beifong out of the finale or give her some minimal part. Everytime they show peopel who've had bending taken away they look all drained and depressed and whatnot. I don't picture Beifong like that at all. I think of her being pissed off and wanting to kick chi-blocker ass.

I hope we see her fight regardless of being a bender.

I also wonder if the Avatar will develop the ability to give back bending (not give just anyone it) but undo the damage Amon has done to those who deserve to have it back (for example, LB Zolt can suck it)

Amon could theoretically be making the benders believe he has taken their powers by blocking it.

Yep. I've always assumed he isn't so much taking them away, as blocking them from using them.

The best part of The Last Airbender movie? Zuko, who is played by an actor of Indian descent, looking a picture of him and his "family" which looks like the Zuko from the show. :awesome:

The Fire Nation is obviously inspired in large part by Japan, but it also has some other influences. You can also see Chinese, Korean, Indochinese, and Pacific Islander influence.

I found it hilarious that he has a wallet-sized painting of his family that he carries around. It reminded me of Kung-Fu Panda: "I've only seen paintings of that painting!" :wow:

Logically if Amon can take away powers, he could potentially give them back.
Actually I was thinking that Korra would figure out how to give them back. It was Aang who figured out how to block somebody's bending, it seems fitting that Korra would take the next step.

Erasing, Chi-Blocking, Chakra-Locking..call it what you will. Point is it would make sense-and I think it would be cool to see- for the Avatar to be able to undo the damage that Amon has done to benders is all I'm saying

While most people spit on the movie I have to give the guy who played Zuko props. You could really see the anger in his eyes.

Dev Patel is a really good actor. Definitely the best part of the movie.

Being South Asian myself...well...a mix of South and South East anyway, I wasn't TOTALLY opposed to the Fire Nation being portrayed by mainly South Asians. The casting wasn't really what annoyed me. What got me was the total utter compression of the awesomeness that was Book 1.

Everything about the film is awful. Everything. The direction, the writing, the adapting, the art direction, the cinematography, the music, the acting, the casting, the editing, the lunch breaks. Everything.

It is in the argument for the worst movie I have ever seen. How in the world that cost $150 million to make is beyond me.
