Because non-Japanese cartoons are in the other thread?
So what's everyone's big complaints about the show?
Two of them that I've come across is that it doesn't pander with enough fan-service toward the original (some want it be near carbon-copy of the original). To me, a new viewer, doing that would just drag the show down. I think they need to move on and accept new things.
The other complaint is that the plot of the show is rushed. This also might be in comparison to original. But I like a lack of filler in my shows as well as the fast pace.
I'd say the character design for me, at least with the guys. a little TOO 'anime' for my taste, not a huge anime fan. The original show, while it did have anime influences, didn't go overboard with it and was still undeniably an american made animated series.
Something that bothered me about this episode is how easily Tarrlok seems to sway the council members. Have any of them even said a word yet cause it doesn't seem so, must be a reason why they seem to be like his puppets.
The guy in that flashback also looked like Tarrlok.
No it wasn't.It was.
It looked like whatever it was Tarrlok was doing in the flashback, Sokka, Toph and Aang tried to stop him, and they got blood-bended for their troubles.
No it wasn't.
That was Yakone. The waterbender that was giving Aang problems.

If anything Tarrlok is his son.
Yakone is a phrase meaning "blood in the snow" in an Inuit dialect.
