MAA Insiders released one of the new bosses for the next SO: Ymir, progenitor of the Jotuns of Niffleheim. He'll be one 3 new bosses who'll be introduced in SO 24, leading credence to the Beta Ray Bill/Thor-related hero rumors. Plus, we're getting a new group boss, so that means another LB hero. I think we're going to be getting either Enchantress or Executioner as the LB hero.

Sounds like SO 24 is getting closer since Producer Woods has been more talkative on @MAAInsiders, which typically happens once a SO is nearing release. Main thing that came out today was Loki is getting a refactor once the SO drops.

The only new things we got in January were sale items to buy instead of getting Beta Ray Bill and the SO. Typical. Putting the shopping cart before the horse!

Big release today is that Surtur is the Group Boss. Got the feeling they're getting close to releasing it. Hopefully tomorrow or Thursday.

Well they would be from group boss fights. So probably more opportunity to collect than from the Hybrid daily missions.

I dunno. Fixer and Hybrid were the first lockbox villains I won without having to actually use gold. All the others I got duplicates for and ran out of time when the SO had finished.

Not sure if Woods was trying to throw us off by his last comment about the "reward hero being a Journey into Mystery" since that's where Balder was first introduced. Still got a feeling it's still going to be Beta Ray Bill since he just started appearing in Journey into Mystery back in 2013.

I'm waiting to see who the Epic Boss Deploy heroes are for the next SO. The mobile version is on 'Symbiosis' and I'm trying to decide whether to drop the 25G to get Anti-Venom. If I need him to get BR-Bill, then I might go for it.

I hope Volstagg is one of the epic deploy heroes for this SO. I've had his E-ISO waiting for him for months.

It's highly unlikely that Volstagg could be one because wasn't he a covert ops hero? That means that people who don't have him wouldn't possibly be able to do the epic run because he is locked and they wouldn't even have the option of buying him. So he's off the table. It would be like making Squirrel Girl or Moon Knight a deploy requirement.

I'm speculating it's probably Falcon and Karnak who are deploy heroes. They just made Falcon available recently for CPs, and he was the one after Iceman, who was the last 200 CP deploy hero. And Karnak has just recently become available after the PVP. There's no other recent 90 CP hero so it will probably be an older one.

It's 7 PM PST and it's still not out. May wait until 8 PM tonight but I can't remember them releasing anything that late before so it looks like we'll have to wait another day.

I'm not holding my breath for tomorrow either. I'm not normally a whiny MAA player but this wait is ticking me off. Probably because there's nothing else going on. It would be even worse without the new dailies though.

It really would be. Considering I'll be finishing off Magik's CO tomorrow, there really won't be anything for me to do except farm the weapons of Season 2 Chapter 7. It's been nearly a month now without a SO going on and nearly 3 months without a new chapter so we're obviously in serious need of new content. They really slowed down on their release schedule for whatever reason and many players are seeing that now.
