World Avengers Assemble! Animated Show - Part 1

The Young Justice campaign is a perfect example of the online fans being loud but not numerous. The haters against Avengers Assemble are a small minority at best.

With all due respect, I hope people continue to trash (IMO) crappy shows like AA and USM (which, I'll admit, occassionally puts out a good episode once in a while) and any other show that is lacking in quality.

However, I do agree with you that online petitions are a waste of time and energy.

I'm not really sure what you expect out of these forums then, if you'd like people to stop complaining about AA and USM. The shows are what they are and what they are is not particularly well liked among the patrons of this site. You can say that the shows are doing well, and maybe they are hitting a chord with their intended audience of 7-9 yr olds, but that demo doesn't frequent these boards. Perhaps we should just shutter the forums for these shows because they certainly don't generate the type of traffic that their predecessors did and what traffic they do get is mostly well-deserved criticism.

To save Black Widow, Captain America leads the team into battle against a former World War II ally who he struggles to convince the team is a real person.

1-06 Super Adaptoid
Original Airdate - July 28th, 2013
The Avengers are out-gunned by the high-tech, power-mimicking Super-Adaptoid, and Captain America is the last man standing against the ultimate artificial intelligence!

wow, what another disappointing episode...

still not thrilled with the look of the show, it was a really stupid opening segment and my beef is that I'm REALLY finding Tony Stark, the Hulk and the Falcon to be extremely annoying...

givin' it a couple more eps just to give it a chance and see if there's any improvement... if not, I'm bailin' and it's hasta la byebye for me...
 
This episode was better than the first 2 episodes in regards to story,art,and animation, but that isn't saying much. The CGI was toned down in this episode, which is why it looked better and was animated better than the first 2 episodes. If they ditched the crappy CGI all together and make the character designs less detailed, this series would look much better and have better animation. As for the story, this series seems like a more serious version of SUPER HERO SQUAD (minus Wolverine,Silver Surfer,a dumb Hulk,and being based out of the SHIELD Helicarier). Most of the AA characters roles and comedic traits are very similar to their SHS counterparts. Heck, the AA are even facing a major team of bad guys as their main antagonist for their first season similar to SHS. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if the main villain for te 2nd season of AA (like the 2nd season of SHS) is Thanos.
 
Got some questions: Did the first 3 episodes really have to revolve around body-swapping? They could have come up with something a little more original. Having said that, did I also feel like that this new episode was somewhat advertising or hinting Thor: The Dark World by showing us "The Dark World"?

At least EMH had them showcasing different sections of Marvel lore like how the old JL series showcased the different parts of the DC Universe. I feel that they're just restricting themselves and just advertising the coming movies like the coming episode about the Winter Soldier. I guess even though I found it a bit more tolerable compared to Ultimate: Spider-Man, the cracks are starting to show now. Am I correct in my assumptions?

So having said that, how much does anyone want to bet that we'll see a Guardians of the Galaxy episode/arc before this season is up?
 
I guess I'm the odd-man out cuz I didn't have any problems with the first two episodes, the 3rd episode however, was cringe worthy awful!!

From them fighting over the cookies, to all the bad jokes, to the over-simplistic story telling- there wasn't much of anything to enjoy.

Since I liked the first two episodes I'm going to just pretend I didn't just witness that train wreck of an episode. The good news is I can't imagine the episodes can get any worse.

Yeah, it's crap like that cookie stuff that always turns me off. It's just so different in tone and execution from stuff done on EMH or JLU. I mean, compare those two cookie scenes with what they did on EMH with the FF card game scene in the Doom ep. Both are showing the heroes being more laid back and humorous. But one does not trample on the inherent dignity of the characters or makes them out to be nothing but childish jerks.
 
the animation is fine, but the writing is ****... i mean a vortex? GTFO

I think the writing for EMH was actually better

Quoted for the truth. Like I said, this is just a more serious version of SUPER HERO SQUAD.
 
Yeah after watching the 3rd episode it's easy to see that this show is NO Avengers: EMH not even close. Although I still find it entertaining and hopefully it can atleast bring us some cool superhero action and better writing as the show evolves.

I'm actually excited for next week's episode, Thor hasn't had much spotlight so it's going to be nice to have a Thor centric episode. Finally seeing Thor face the Midgard Serpent outside the comics has me pretty anxious by itself.
