Nope. The ones killed physically are dead IMO. I was really not expecting Gamora to die. That hit me hard. The way she struggled.....

Remains to be seen. Depends on how it is reversed. If someone gets the gauntlet for example, they are master of the universe and can do whatever they want and raise them. If it involves destroying it somehow, then maybe those ones stay dead.

IW was 2 1/2 hours of the first couple of pages of Infinity Guantlet #1. The Avengers response was pretty meak in the following issues.

So, yeah. It's a precarious situation that they are in. Hopefully they can pull it off and the Russos can punch up the ending of IW to a satisfying level.

I'd argue that IW was was said pages of IG #1, plus a good portion of "Thano's Quest" and "Infinity".

Posted this elsewhere but this belongs here:

Rocket giving Thor another eye is an absolute master stroke of proper characterization and world-building. What could have been a throwaway joke in 2014 ended up making for one of my favorite character moments in a movie bursting at the seams with character moments.

I also think there's going to be a bit of backlash (maybe that's too strong a word) against Starlord basically screwing everything up for everyone, but damn if it isn't in character for Quill.

^^^Man this^^^

I felt exactly the same.

One other point -

I think the Thanos/Gamora relationship should have been built up a bit more leading into this movie. Prior to this there is no real "love" towards Gamora shown by him, so it makes it less impactful that he is truly hurt by sacrificing her, especially when his modus operandi is random genocide.

Again, maybe being nitpicky.

That's the twist. It seemed like Thanos loved nothing which is why Gamora was laughing. If they played that up too much earlier in the film(s) you would've seen it a mile away.

I love how the Russos did the ending. No music. It was really unsettling. Such a good film.

I think everyone will be brought back (save for Loki and maybe Gamora) and then it will be round 2 of deaths. At that point anyone is fair game.

Gamora's, Spidey's and Loki's were all terrifically done, all setting the tone at the right points in the movie.

Spidey's in particular was heart-breaking, because Tony was right. Peter really hadn't thought it through before jumping back on the space ship. He was just a kid and just wanted to live. And Tony's fear in SM:HC about Peter dying came through.

I love his line " I can't be a friendly neighbor spiderman if there's no neighbor" or something. Really show his character development here.

Yep. The relationship building done in Homecoming helped lots in this regard too. While I understand the criticism of some who felt Iron Man was a tad shoehorned in that movie, we're seeing the story and emotional payoff here.

Eh I don’t think you’d ever completely get rid but whatever. It wasn’t something that bothered me just amused me.

There are people that speak even multiple foreign languages with no accent even when they haven't lived in a country that speaks any of those languages, and living among native speakers does do wonders for your accent.

I have friends in England and Canada that have told me that I barely have any Swedish accent, and I've never lived outside Sweden and don't even speak English that often.

Of course not all will lose their accents, but it's not unusual for people to do it so I don't see any issues with Wanda losing it.

It's the same with Black Widow in the MCU for that matter, and I think that makes a lot more sense than how she's had a Russian accent in the comics and cartoons. You'd be a ****** spy if your accent gave you away all the time.

My prediction is the similar. Everyone comes back except for whoever dies in the process of reversing the events. Especially given the Thanos and Iron Man interaction in this film, my bet is either Stark does it, or everyone does it together.

Oh for goodness sake. If people are angry that they weren't pre-warned that their favourite fictional characters are going to die then they really shouldn't be allowed to watch movies... or possibly leave the house. People need to get a grip. If I can get over Matthew Crawley unexpectedly snuffing it in the CHRISTMAS DAY SPECIAL of Downton Abbey then they'll get over this.
Do you think that the general audience spends hours every day reading about upcoming superhero movies? WE know this was PART ONE....WE know things will be reversed....WE know what is going on....THEY see commercials for AVENGERS INFINITY WAR that plays it up as giant triumphant fight of the heroes vs the evil villain.....and see their heroes die.

I've seen several people on here say.....once they read THANOS WILL RETURN at the end they will know what is going on....well, I saw a whole hell of a lot of people leave before that. They hung around for awhile, because you always get a couple of extra scenes during credits.....but when the scenes didn't come right after the end, then didn't come after the acting credits....they left. I will say it again....I'm afraid that Marvel made some big mistakes here....I hope I'm wrong, I won't the movie to make billions and be loved by all....but I'm worried about what I saw with audience reactions.

I read Thano's Quest. I haven't read Infinity though.

In my opinion, Thano's Quest barely had anything of relevance to the movie other than Thanos successfully getting the gems.

But that's due to the climate of the prior movies that had been set up for this film.

I'm definitely not alone in thinking that A4 is being set up as sendoff for the OG, specifically Cap and Iron Man, the way the story and emotional beats fell.

Damn. I should have realised what it meant. I was too busy rejoicing the OG Avengers were left alive.....

Regarding the snap and the deaths - I can understand why they did the ash thing, probably easier for kids to take and for the general audience to understand what was happening, but I think the impact and gravity of the situation would have been 1000x more intense had Thanos done it, and then we have quick cuts to all the locations, only to see people drop dead - Think of the Chitauri in Avengers 1. The sight of all these lifeless bodies lying around would have had more emotional impact on the characters and the audience, instead of the "hey what just happened? Where did they go" feeling i got. Just my opinion, but I can see how that morbid of a sight may have been a bit over the top.

Man i wish i hadn't read the leaks before going to see the movie. Still the execution of the scenes left me in awe.

Sorry to hear that man. Thankfully the movie is still chock full of epic-ness to be enjoyed but the twists and character deaths really hit you in the feels.

I learned my lesson a long time ago with Iron Man 3 and religiously avoided social media and this and many other sites for this very reason and I'm so glad I did. It made the experience so much better. I would have been upset to have had the surprises spoiled for me.

"I can't be a friendly neighbourhood Spiderman if there's no neighbourhood." I really liked that line and I wish he hadn't gone on to say "I know that doesn't make sense" because it does.

That would instantly make this movie rated R lol.

But there is still a scene at the end of the credits of IW. That's always been a staple of Marvel movies. You stay at the end. If those people walked out right after the movie... then that's on them.

I'd be curious to see if anyone else has similar experiences because I do think that's going to be the exception and not the norm.

I hope you're right.

I want to make this plain.....I'm not posting like we see many do on here....I am not hating the movie and posting negative stuff to back that up....I LIKED the movie but posting the negative stuff I saw because it truly worries me about the BO potential.

Spoilers! It was great. Maybe a bit too long but I enjoyed it. I was expecting Thanos to be another boring CGI villian but I was wrong. He was the best part of the movie. I don't remember reading any comics he was in. I was a little bit disappointed that they didn't kill any of the big names like Cap, Iron Man and Thor. Maybe in the next movie. Red Skull was great to see. I didn't expect it at all.

That would have been way too much.
