I think you are right.
It is NOT that FOX does not want to give a good budget for their comic book movies, the problem is that the comic book they have adapted are risky ones like F4 and daredevil that is why they don't give good budgets.
They are not spider-man which even if it was CRAP would do gangbusters at boxoffice no matter how big the budget. That is why COLUMBIA spends so much on spider-man because they know that MOST of the fans will watch it no matter what and KIDS will eat it up.
I don't think you should blame FOX for not giving us a well done BIG BUDGET F4 movie because even if they had done that. Then I am sure it would have NOT been a "HIT". If F4 franchise acts just like the X-men franchise then we all know it will do more than X2 but ONLY if we support F4-2 MORE than we did last time.
