Alright, I guess I'll take the reins in Norman's absence. I've set up a personal PayPal account, here's how it's going to work:

Step 1: Everyone needs to get a PayPal account with a valid credit/debit card.

Step 2: PM me here on the Hype boards if you're going to donate. Include your e-mail address (that you signed up for paypal with), how much money you'll be contributing and your name.

Step 3: I will send a "Request for Funds" from my PayPal account to yours. Once you get the request, transfer funds.

Step 4: I'll check back here to make sure everyone who wanted to contribute has done so. Once confirmed, I'll send payment to Variety (the charity).

Let's make the man proud, shall we?

Anyways, it sounds like a plan. The online donation site for Variety has checkouts for discreet amounts ($10, $25, $50, $100) but as long as I think everyone chips in in a multiple of $5, it can be fanagled somehow.

Also, from what I understand, the charity can also send a card to whoever we choose. Since ummm....I don't think Heath's family's address is out for public consumption, his agency is probably the best bet:

Wow guys, the support is just outstanding already. PayPal apparently takes a little chunk for themselves out of what you guys send, but whatever they take I'll pay the difference for once I add my own contribution.

I appreciate the work DarkJester is doing - it seems incredibly foolish and arrogant to try to take over the reigns from his clearly competent hands at this point. I support him completely.
