Which I am to an extent. With the last DLC there werent any new achievements and the medals you earned on them didnt count towards the already existing predator or combat achievements.

Maybe make up "Platinum" level achievements for both when you get 30 medals, etc.

Yea, I'm OCD, so I absolutely hate achievements, since I'm stupidly compelled to attempt to get all of them and usually hate it when I rent a game and have an unfinished block of achievements sitting there. :(

you're not OCD (I hate how people just throw that term around now forgetting its a legit medical issue) you're just anal and want all the acheivements

No, actually I am diagnosed with OCD....just so you know. It drives my wife crazy. :( :p

I didn't check for new achievements, but I assume there aren't any because the previous pack didn't have any either.

The combat challenge map requires 50000 score for the 3 medals. It's one big room and the floor is the same as the one in the Shock and Awe challenge map. The floors become electric, but only a row or 2 (only the outside rows, if I remember correctly, not any in the middle) and not for long. I didn't have any problems with it. The thugs are the same as in most of the other challenge maps (regular, with knives, pipes, etc) and at the final round there's also a titan. I only played it once and without trying to get all the medals, I got about 42000 points. Seemed like an easy challenge map.

The predator challenge map, which I did not play (I just wanted to see the requirements for the medals), wants you to take out the red guy first (you had to take him out last in the previous DLC map), punch 3 different armed thugs and complete the challenge without taking damage.

This is the first game I've ever platinumed. And I'm still playing it.

I am loving playing as Joker in the challange maps especially the predator challanges using the gun and bomb. It also adds a whole new level of dificulty being the Joker not having detective mode. I hope they release more challanges for the Joker and not just Batman. I'd pay for that.

Does OCD have to be treated though?

I don't think achievements or trophies are needed for the DLC, really.

Mine isn't as bad as some people have it. Mine is being curbed essentially by focusing it on certain things, to hone it so it doesn't go out of control.

My wife is also supposed to keep me from doing stuff like continually checking light switches or checking appliances, all things which are part of my OCD. I had a habit of wanting to turn the car around after we left the house because I felt I didn't check all the appliances to make sure they were off.

Being overly concerned with organization as well as cleanliness is also something I deal with. So with that my job is to focus on one single area so as to hone it on something. So I focus it on my electronics/entertainment area, where everything is organized by a system that makes me happy.

I have to work pretty hard to keep myself in check, but my wife is wonderful in helping me with it. It makes my life interesting to say the least.

A message from Eidos Interactive....

Eidos Interactive today announced the Prey in the Darkness Map Pack, a new downloadable map pack offering two additional Challenge Maps for the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum™ action adventure title. The new content will be available beginning September 24th as a free download on PlayStation®Network and Xbox® LIVE Marketplace.

In the ‘Heart of Darkness’ FreeFlow™ Combat map, players will battle a mob of relentless and maniacal enemies at the Arkham Pumping Station. Even the most seasoned Batman: Arkham Asylum player will enjoy stepping into the boots of BATMAN to take down increasingly difficult waves of insane inmates. In the ‘Hothouse Prey’ Invisible Predator™ map, players will have to rely on their Predator instincts to silently and effectively take down enemies at the Abandoned Glasshouse.

In Batman: Arkham Asylum, developed by Rocksteady Studios and based on DC Comics’s Batman license, the DARK KNIGHT takes on his greatest challenge yet when he becomes trapped with all of his most dangerous villains inside the insane asylum of GOTHAM CITY - ARKHAM ASYLUM! So just to clarify - this DLC isn't available on PC, and as far as I know there are no plans to release it on PC. It is only available on PS3 in the US but is available for PS3 and 360 in Europe.

works for me....the abandoned Glasshouse?? is that the same as the Rumble in the Jungle challenge or the area where you fight Poison Ivy?

I don't know about that. It could very well be the first room of the Garden or slightly modified, we just have to wait and see.

Sorry, it isn't your link it's me. I'm at work but I'll try to access it through a proxy really quickly.

Okay, great, so I can't download it on 360 because I'm in the US?

Thank goodness I have the PS3 version.

That is bulls*** for the 360 getting the shaft in the US. I understand Sony paid for the Joker challanges but this is DLC that was released on both in EU so I think it will be released for Live later on.

I think it's just being released on the 360 in Europe today but US tomorrow no?

The new DLC is up, on Xbox LIVE! It's called Prey in the Darkness and the locations are the Arkham Pumping Station and the Abandoned Glasshouse. Like the previous map pack, it's free for Gold members. I'm downloading now, but I won't be able to try the maps until a couple of hours later.

Are you in the U.S. or UK?

I have a UK account (I'm from Greece). Keir, the Eidos guy at the official forums, said that the map is exclusive to the PS3, in the US and that he'd try to get official word on why.

that's lame as hell that they'd have region specific AND console specific DLC.
