Oh haha now I feel dumb for asking, but really...the only reason I asked was because I thought that was a pretty simple idea. Vents have covers on them. It's normal. I don't just have big holes in my walls at home, they are covered by vent covers. It's only natural. Plus it gives more interaction in the game. If you were in a building...vents wouldn't just be big wholes in the wall for you to crawl through. They would be covered. It makes sense to me...

I don't understand...

SILENT KNIGHT, the second challenge (but the first timed takedown challenge) I was ranked like...23,000 or something with a time score of 2:35.32...(or something around there)

So I played it today and got a score of 0:42.72 (now ranked 547)

SO I looked up first place...and the first place rank is 0:23.36

...I really don't understand how someone can complete the challenge in 23 seconds while accomplishing all the medals...considering by the time i grapple to the second floor and set my explosive gel, it's already been 15 seconds ...

EDIT:

Just did it in 0:40.63 (ranked 463)...that's still not 23 seconds...

I just finished this earlier today.
I don't know if there alternate endings but the one I got was really disappointing, I was expecting something a bit more substantial than "job done, time to go".

The only alternate endings include Croc, Bane, and Scarecrow.

I got 43 seconds and thought I was the man! Then I saw I wasn't even in the top 500. These guys are ridiculous in finding out how to do that in 23 seconds.

Ya, no doubt. Seriously, I got under a minute and thought I was a champion. Than I saw the stats and was like, woah ok...gotta keep trying lol.

I can't see how you could do it any faster bahaha, that was ridiculous.

I tried that method and could only do it in 32 seconds lmao...

HOW DID 1ST PLACE RANK DO IT IN 23 SECONDS!!!!

Well after much blood and tears, I finally beat Shock & Awe Extreme...and whoever created that challenged can die from malaria for what he put me through. :argh:

But all in all I did feel really satisfied after beating it.

Now just to get Sewer bat beaten and Rumble in the Jungle (both Extreme) and I'll be done so I can trade this game in. :o

This game really frustrates me. After finishing the campaign I decided to tackle the challenges before beating it on hard mode, but nay, it is an impossible feat.

Shock & Awe Extreme? It's just not an even fun anymore. I would shatter the disc if I wasn't so broke, got to trade it in for MW2. :awesome:

What about future DLC?

I'm not big into most dlc. I may hold on to it a bit just in case something substantial comes around like what Burnout Paradise did or Star Wars: TFU..but if all they will do are challenge maps, I won't bother. Like PWN3R said, the battle challenges aren't fun to me, just frustrating. I'm only doing them to finish my last couple of achievements.

The single player mode, I beat it twice, once on normal, and the other on hard...and I've no desire to play through it again as I know the story and got to watch through it twice. That's enough for me.

I agree, the battle challenges are not fun in the least. Shock & Awe just about broke me.

Are you guys talking about just passing the combat challenge or getting all the medals?

<-------Addicted to achievements.

Although I already wrote this game off, 1000-ing it is just not going to happen.

I didn't think it would for me either, but little by little I get the combat challenges done. After beating Shock and Awe and surpassing the 30k needed for all three medals, I should be able to do the rest with no problems...or at least not as bit of problems.

I will hate this game by the time I'm done though. :(

I loved the Stealth Challenges though...they were pretty awesome. :D

But after you've beaten the challenges after trying and trying and trying it feels oh so rewarding. :o

Me too. I specially love the beat 'em up challenges.
I still have some extreme challenges to complete, but soon I'll get the 100%.
Then, I'll beat it on hard. Too bad we can't use the armored costume to play story mode.

It felt pretty awesome getting the platinum trophy (first and only), wish I could actually hold it in my hands:awesome:

Tried doing the challenges this weekend, combat feels impossible. I'm doing everything I can and not even coming close to the third trophy.

Also how do you get the achievement for not being detected in the predator missions? With the shock collars the enemies are alerted to you basically the instant someone goes down.
