That's PS3-specific, I believe, so pre-ordering a PS3 copy from anywhere should work.
^ The problem is that, at least in the E3 footage, we were in downtown Gotham. The downtown of a major city is very often the most crowded area. Many people in cities like NY even celebrate Christmas downtown.
Wbm never said that. They just said that the public is indoors due to a major storm &it being Christmas eve and it's the assassin's black mask hired and a corrupt police force and Gorden and a few decent cops under him. That's about it.Is it possible that Black Mask's hit on Batman (attracting the worlds most amazing assassins) is public knowledge, leaving only bad guys and cops outside? Maybe that could just be another factor in emptying the streets. How they continue to do this in future games I have no idea.
The presence of civilians will have no bearing on my enjoyment of this game. There'll probably be a few here or there, people getting mugged and the like.
Also watching videos. Batman is definitely faster in combat than in the previous games
The Batsuit looks like TDK one. I like WBM's version of the suit but the ears seem small.
I'm really hoping they won't do this in sequels. I mean, trying to make it larger. I want it smaller and more focused. I'd like to have the environment be like a character once again, like the Asylum was.Is it possible that Black Mask's hit on Batman (attracting the worlds most amazing assassins) is public knowledge, leaving only bad guys and cops outside? Maybe that could just be another factor in emptying the streets. How they continue to do this in future games I have no idea.
Batman: Arkham Origins takes place early on in Bruce Wayne’s career as Batman, with Warner Bros. referring to it as a “Year Two” story. But what about Batman’s first year?
According to Warner Bros. Montreal’s creative director Eric Holmes, Batman: Arkham Origins will be consistent with elements of the Batman: Year One comic book version of Batman’s origin, although certain aspects of it will be different.
When asked by a fan if Year One and Arkham Origins will be relevant to one another, Holmes replied over Twitter (via: GoNintendo), “We have tried to be consistent where possible. The world is consistent although I would consider the Y1 ending (rooftop, card) not.”
While the main Batman: Arkham Origins story campaign will not cover Bruce’s origin story in great detail, the game will be getting an “Initiation” challenge map DLC, which will depict him before his Batman days, taking on a test to prove himself worthy to his teacher, Kirigi.
Meanwhile, over in the world of comic books, Batman is getting an all-new origin story, courtesy of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, who are working on the ongoing Batman: Zero Year event that gives Bruce a completely different origin from Batman: Year One.
