I already like Roger Greg Smith's Batvoice better than the guy who played him in that Year One animated movie.

Oh he's so much better than McKenzie.

I guess I would have preferred Kevin Conroy to be in this game, with a younger tinge to his voice. We know he's capable of it.

But hey, He'll be back and Roger Craig Smith sounds fantastic in the mean time.

I don't see the tragedy in Conroy only voicing Batman 700 out of 800 times a year as opposed to all the freakin' time. Especially when there is no logical reason to have him voice Batman in certain cases, such as in this case (younger Batman).

Roger Craig Smith's Batman sounds fantastic and although I prefer Conroy in general, Smith's Batman sounds more like how I would expect Batman to sound in a video game. I would love to see him reprise his role in future young-Batman projects. I would have preferred him over the guy from Year One as well.

Also, I disagree that Conroy is capable of voicing a young Batman. He'll always be Batman to me, but he is past his prime. None of the voice acting he did post-DCAU is on par with anything he did with the DCAU Batman IMO. That's not to say he still isn't good; just not as good as before. It's really noticeable when you go back to Batman TAS.

You know, as I'm replaying Arkham City, I have to admit that I never understood how to read the Ice Density Meter. The ice is thin, walk slow, ok. How the heck does the Ice Density Meter help me?

1.) He CAN do a younger voice. He was more than capable of doing this game.

2.) The Arkham series is his Batman in a weird continuity/familiarity kind of way.

It's not a big deal... but I guess that's where the complaints are coming from.

I must say I'm loving Anthony Ruivivar at the moment. He would have been great in this game.

Doesn't it warn you if you walk too fast? Then Penguin's shark comes and gets you.

I love Kevin Conroy as much as the next guy but I don't understand why it's a crime against humanity for some fans every time they don't use him for an animated show/movie or video game.

Sadly that's how it's always gonna be when there's an animated adaptation or video game with Batman and Joker. "It sucks because it's not Kevin Conroy!" "It sucks because it's not Mark Hamill!"

I love those two as Batman and Joker as much as the next person, but man do some people just get way too attached to voice actors. They can't voice Batman and Joker forever. Other people have stepped in and shown that they can voice them pretty good as well.

Seems some people are so biased that they refuse to accept anyone else regardless of how good they are.

I think both Roger and Troy are doing a great job, so I couldn't care less.
If the voice work was bad, like I found in the Batman: Year One movie, then I'd be complaining too.

I think they really sound like Conroy and Hammil.

Huh, the design of Lady Shiva is actually fantastic. Sure, she's packing Triple D's, but I've long resigned myself to that particular fate for videogame women. But unlike every other female character, she is actually covered up and dressed sensibly, and has a good design to boot.

1) He can't IMO. You can hear it in his voice that he is getting old.

2) I'm not saying he should retire. I still like hearing him and I had no problem with him in the Arkham games. I'm just saying that his work on the Arkham games is not as good as his work on the DCAU because his voice is starting to slip and is no longer in its prime.

Why all the hate for sexy-looking female characters? Y'all sound like a bunch of old white conservative men. :o

According to a gamefaqs poster, this site confirms the last two assassins.

http://forums.arkhamverse.com/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=20604&view=unread#unread

However you have to be a member in order to see them. And that poster mentions that the last two are indeed

Killer Croc and Lady Shiva

Interesting I guess [blackout]Magpie is a side mission[/blackout]

Are you guys seeing anything in those links?
I can't. It gives me an error.

How the hell is Killer Croc an assassin?

This is a minor gripe I had with the game that I didn't brought up until now. Some of those assassins are actual assassins from the DC universe and the rest are just Batman villains that had the assassin title slapped onto them.

I'll make it viewable for those that can't see it then

Here are their pics:

welcome to the world of some comic's and movies and some video games where some people don't really care about the true meaning of words or certain occupations and just throw them onto anything as long as they want it that way. Lol I'm sure it drives those that actually have an occupation like bounty "hunter" insane to ber mixed up with an assassin. "so your jobs the same as a assasin" "No that's only in the star wars universe, you nut case." "That's not how it works in real life." "I still have to work with cops ETC."

To some people killers are all the same and people hired to do a job are all the same. They throw them into the same place. lol it's messed up.

Real assassin's kill for political gain/ goals as reasons and to send a message (like don't follow batman's example or be killed) or to ride some one that has become a serious problem for who ever has hired them and they don't drop a contract for anything.

Merc's work for any one that pay's the highest bidder. They will be happy to work for anyone that pay's them well enough.

Bounty hunter's have to work with the law and they are paid through bonds men their pay through those bonds men via the law and they sometimes have to work with certain law enforcement if need be .

Crock well he's a killer but not the same at all.

It's just some certain people don't care for detail's and throw words around and this stuff happens. But this may also not be the case/ one of those times.

Now let's just wait and see if he's actually on the assassin's list, he may be like Anarky .

I'm a tad disappointed that they seem to be keeping Croc's giant proportions from the previous games. I was really hoping they'd treat him like Bane and pull him back a bit. They explain his increased sized in by saying he mutated further at a later time, like in the comics. I just wanted a more humanly sized Croc, still big, but like 7 feet as opposed to nearly 10 feet.

They said they stayed to the DNA of Arkham game's prior, so there you have it. The only thing that was done were a few change's. Guess it was easier to just leave the modle as it was.

Yeah I understand that. Their redesign of Bane just gave me hope.

Yeah well sometimes they're only willing to do so much., And They are a new studio and you know the rest.

They only picked up serious funds recently also. Otherwise they're on a certain budget at the time. Yeah they did the Bane thing to make certain fans happy. But that cause of how loud the community was for it.
But they're still on a budget as new studio even though they did that.

So a redesign is also too late. For now any way.

So, the soundtrack is due within days. I am excited for this one, especially the main theme. There is a cue which sounds quite similar to Bane's Deshi Basara theme - it's on the iPad game as well. But that's all cool, I like that sound.
