Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 4

He looks to be about the same speed as Nightwing, that'll be weird playing as a fast Batman

So, the soundtrack is due within days. I am excited for this one, especially the main theme. There is a cue which sounds quite similar to Bane's Deshi Basara theme - it's on the iPad game as well. But that's all cool, I like that sound.

Oh, that's awesome. I love the sort of hypnotic nature to that chant. I look forward to hearing it.

I'd strongly argue that it's not Kevin's abilities but the Arkham scripts in general... You can hardly blame him from phoning it in at times.

Give Kevin something worthwhile and he always knocks it out of the park.

The Arkham Batman just seemed too damn stiff and it was usually his dialogue that was responsible.

I agree. Conroy has exceptional range. Not too long ago, on the Gotham Knight dvd, he had to showcase a rather wide range of Bruce/Batman. I'm convinced he would have been able to alter his voice enough to sound like a 20-something Bruce if he'd needed to for this game.

Conroy isn't voicing Batman. The game comes out in 4 days. Deal with it already.

People love Roger Craig Smith. We are merely discussing Conroy. Nobody is yearning for him in this game.

Deal with it.

To be honest, I think Kevin's work in Arkham City is his best yet. IDK, something about the voice and performance there appeals to me more than in previous incarnations.

I've dealt with it.

I'm simply more apt to accept the idea that they want to infuse new talent, rather than saying Conroy doesn't have the chops to pull it off. There's a difference.

And the new guy has sort of won me over, to be honest. I like how he sounds.

Oh Spidey-Ville... how have you lived? I think we'd all gladly chip in to buy you some B:TAS boxsets. :woot:
I know :(

I actually have the episodes on .. some other form of media. :ninja: I justnever sat down to try and watch any of them. I'm really bad when it comes to animated shows.

I thought he was awful in Gotham Knight just because his voice didn't fit the young Bruce and he did absolutely nothing to try and change it.

He did try to change it, though. It seemed to me that he had changed the his tone enough in the flashback scenes, and even between the different short stories where Bruce/Batman appeared to be different. It worked for me.

I've watched them all, but never bought them. I can totally afford it now, but truthfully...I really prefer to wait until WB releases a Blu-ray box set.

By the way, I haven't watched all of the gameplay demo, but I've been hearing people complain about the framerate being abysmal. Usually, I'm horrible at noticing that. I can spot clipping and screentearing like everyone else, but slight dips in framerate just don't register for me.

Anyone see validity in the complaints I've been hearing, though?

Quite honestly I don't think we're ever getting a HD remaster of that series. I think the DVD version is as good as it's going to get. But, hey, I'd love to be proven wrong.

Game looks great, very polished. Love the detail in the snow.

I thought he was pretty damn amazing in Batman: Gotham Knight... so I guess to each his own.

I only watched a little bit of the gameplay footage. Don't want to spoil too much for myself... but it's looking fantastic.

There looks to be SO MUCH to explore in Arkham origins...I am really just over the moon excited. Friday can't come soon enough!

As a word of warning, the game has leaked and there's videos of a few boss fights out already.

According to people that already have the game. HUGE SPOILER(this is very likely gonna piss some of you off)

Joker is the main villain again(surprise). Turns out he was impersonating Black Mask and hired the assassins. Whereas the real Black Mask is beaten and tied up.

So Black Mask pretty much got the same treatment Two-Face did in Arkham City.

That's even more stupid. I really hope that's not real...but I don't doubt they'd do that.

Someone on youtube apparently got the game early and I saw the first 2 hours of gameplay on there. [blackout]I can say that Killer Croc isn't as big as he was in the previous Arkham games. He's a lot closer to his BTAS version in this game (you can actually fight him as Batman and he's not as ridiculously massive in size but still slightly exaggerated). And I thought the Electrocutionor boss fight was hilarious.[/blackout]

Yeah that big spoiler brings this game from a 10 to a 6 by default. Goddamn it WB!!:cmad:
