Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread

Keaton has intensity in his eyes. He could have been cast as the Joker back then and ppl would have accepted it. People just weren't used to casting outside of the box back then.

Doesn’t look like they are now.

We still have folks who can't comprehend how an actor can transform themselves. Or that acting means more than looks most of the time. But compared to 1988, or even 2008, we have a much better understanding.

keaton was a fantastic actor that had an intensity. I like that guy, but only in comedic roles as the comic relief character. That's probably the worst suggestion i've seen in years, no offense.

lol

Because he's wrong for the role. Just like Michael Cera is wrong for Two Face. He'll never be asked to audition so you don't have to worry about it lol.

I can also pick any comedic actor and present him as an option for Batman. Doesn't mean he's right for the role just because he's outside of the box. Can't believe anyone is comparing Keaton's eyes and intensity to that dude. That's like saying Heath nailed it and he was outside of the box! So why can't Jeremy Renner play the Joker? Cuz he's wrong for the role.

You can't just pick any actor and say he can do it because it's an outside of the box pick.

Jeremy Renner probably would be a good Joker, TBH. He's much better at slightly weirder, character roles. He got his start playing Dahmer!

Hehe.

Eddie, you didn't like my Dohmnall Gleeson for Riddler but everything you pointed out about him fits the character of Nygma. I think I'll trust my instincts over your Jake Johnson as Batman instincts thank u very much!

Luke Evens is a good suggestion. I'm open to just about anyone within reason.. Ben was already the perfect visual representation of the character and Bale got to play the three sides of Bruce, not just two like most of the actors. He got to be Batman, private Bruce, and the public mask. I'm really good with whatever they go with this time.

He's a good pick, but my need for him to be sinestro is stronger lol

Yeah, Evans is 100% Sinestro to me.

shauner111 says people are more open to outside of the box casting now, while at the same time disparaging my choice of Jake Johnson.

So i have to accept every choice that comes my way? You don't make sense.

Luke Evans he would be another pick I could definitely see as Bruce Wayne/Batman provided he can actually do an American accent since he is Welsh

Renner could probably pull off dope Joker.

Off of another site the actors in the running for Bruce Wayne/Batman should Ben Affleck bail on the role:

1- Jake Gyllenhaal
2- Colin Farrell
3- Jon Hamm
4- Armie Hammer
5- Jeffrey Dean Morgan

https://comicsverse.com/5-actors-replace-ben-affleck-batman/

Well out of this list the only 3 that make sense to replace Affleck definitely are Gyllenhaal, Hammer and Farrell

They're not in the running , it's just fan speculation.
