The Dark Knight Rises Batman out in the daylight

A hero who only fights when he's "in his element" is one crappy hero.

Being put into difficult situations and unfamiliar or hostile settings and still coming out on top - THAT'S a hero.

There's always got to be complaints. The movie isn't coming out for a other year. Why don't u guys wait for the movie to come out then nitpick every little scene?

Day/night/morning/whatever. I just want to see a good fight and a damn movie

Agreed, just like how TDK poster had a building branded with the batsymbol in flames, and that was certainly not a scene in the movie.

But this is a scene from the trailer. I know the teaser trailer for TDK was just a logo breaking away, and that wasn't in the movie, but this is a lot more than that.

I know it's very likely that this won't be in the movie, but I'm just saying, with all of the crazy speculation I see on here, this doesn't seem that crazy. :awesome:

I think that's big load of ********. I think it will be night or at least dusk after post-production work on in. Nolan made day scenes darker in The Dark Knight, why not in this one? Besides the snow just doesn't work dramatically enough in daylight.

So why didn't they just shoot in the evening?

Anyone else notice Batman loves fighting with his elbows?
:awesome:

Yeah I've always noticed that. I guess Nolan wanted to make his fighting unique so bale trained in the KC fighting method. It uses a lot of elbows and knees. It's pretty awesome

I still wish they'd thrown, yes, a texture on the suit. Especially the BB suit. Something leather-like, to give it a more organic feel. I think it would have helped with the whole 'creature' vibe. It might also play better under brighter lighting conditions (like the Joker interrogation in TDK). There's just something about smooth that bugs me.

logistics . Maybe the cirty doesn't want a lot of noise after a certain etccc . Regardless Batmnan can fight in day is such a load of horse****t that makes fanboys look even more absurd

Haha, yea the whole style of the fighting they've used since Batman Begins. Just now noticing?

Anyways, this scene will be daylight. It will look much better than ANYONE is thinking right now. The daylight has a purpose, your not the one making the movie, and the snow is just as effective, if not more effective during the daytime. From what I saw in person I thought this could wind up being one of the best Batman scenes ever filmed. Going into daylight for batman is out of left field and it just works perfectly with this.

If it turns out to be a nighttime scene ill eat all the crow that will be dished. Im 100% confident it will be day.

He's not a vampire. Yes he uses stealth and the darkness to his advantage, but the main reason he's Batman is to protect his city at all costs. He's not going to see all that destruction going on, see that it's 2pm and go "Dangit! Why couldn't it be 2am?? Oh well. They're screwed now. Let's see what's on 'People's Court' now." :)
Pretty much this.

This is ridiculous to be honest.

We don't know the context of the scene. All we know is it looks like a full scale riot. So what, Batman is gonna just not help out because it's during the day?

Batman should help whenever the circumstances call for his help. Not just at night time.

Nope, I've always noticed how Batman is always kicking ass with his elbows, which honestly looks pretty badass to me. :awesome:

And yeah, it's probably daylight, but what does it matter? The scene looks incredible, daylight or no daylight.

No way in hell these scenes are going to be converted to night in post. Another fanboy issue I'd bet money on.

Well he did avoid going out as Batman during the day in TDK, so it does sort of makes you wonder. I'm sure he has his reasons.

I agree with the theories that Bane is trying to bait Batman into revealing himself by organizing the BlackGate prison break. Thats just something Batman can't resist.

The dark knight showed other little hints that he doesn't mind the light.

To me, I find the interrogation scene odd, because Batman is sitting in a fully lit room while everyone watches.

And not to mention that scene where Batman is standing on that building listening in to the police scanner. That was dusk.

I think we can expect the same thing for this riot scene.

um....has anyone ever been hit in the head with a hard elbow...? I wouldn't try it...it looks quite painful...

Snow doesn't work in the daylight? Ever seen Fargo? Or, gee, I don't know, Inception?

But what Ban Leads an attemt to destroy Gotham during the day . Most terrorists attacks do occur during ther day

What if Bane leads an attempt to destroy Gotham during the day . Most terrorists attacks do occur during the day time. I just don't get the hoopla over this

In the movie this was night time, yet shot during the day. And that's actually Christian Bale doing the stunt himself.

This scene was also night in the movie. Shot in daytime.

If the story calls for the fight to take place during the day, SO BE IT.

Of course Batman's full effect works best at night, but it's flat out ignorant to think that he'd just wait until nightfall if Bane were to, let's say, call him out during the day and start reaking chaos just to make sure he showed up.

Sure...like Bruce is just going to wait around until the PM and let Bane murder innocent people.

The bottom line is that, looking at the photos, you have no idea when it takes place in the film...therefore you have no idea what set of circumstances lead up to it. For all you know, him fighting with Bane in daylight is going to make absolute, perfect sense.

Besides, if anything you can ease up...the shot of him and Bane in the teaser about to go at it not only takes place at night but in the rain...so stop worrying about what in all probability is just a lightweight first round compared to the final confrontation.
