Batman: Under the Red Hood

I'm glad to see them give different voice actors a chance to do some of these characters, including Bats and Joker. I mean, I love Hamil and Conroy, those are usually the voices in my head when I'm reading the books, but we have all of BTAS to hear those guys, I'm all for giving someone else a chance to do their take.

I mean yeah i love Conroy and Hamill too, but hey they're gonna be on Arkham Asylum sequel and whatnot. So i'm glad to see some new fresh takes, and i'm very confident on Greenwood and Dimaggio. People shouldn't judge voice actors based upon teaser trailers alone.

Every single animated take on these characters doesn't have to be voiced by Conroy and Hamill. As much as I love them, I welcome the change.

considering they were two of the best cartoon voice actors in one of the greatest comic-to-cartoon series ever I think alot of us care about them

We all do. But a little variety wouldn't hurt and it continues the legacy/history of these iconic characters. Don't you want to see, or even curious, the next "conroy/hamill," as heath ledger was to jack nicholson's joker?

Too bad the guy voicing Batman isn't good si I do miss Conroy here sorry but it's my opinion.

I like the guy voicing Batman, Batman sounds calm and scary, kind of reminds me of Rorschach.. I think Dimaggio will be good as The Joker

Who cares about them anyhow? Honestly i like that they keep the voice actors fresh. Anyhow here's a John Dimaggio interview!
I love conroy and hamill, but I completely agree! That's one of things I didn't like about Batman: Gotham Knight. The anime would have been better served with a voice tht was more in line with the Movies, since it's supposed to be the same universe.

Awesome screencaps.

It looks like a white hand holding a gun on Black Mask there. Most likely the Joker.

DC UNIVERSE ANIMATED ROUNDUP

Batman: Year One, the comic-book story by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchilli, is being adapted into one of Warner Home Video's DC Universe animated movies, The Continuum has learned.

According to sources, the film will be directed by Sam Liu, who co-directed Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.

Warner Bros. did not confirm the film's existence. The studio has not commented on projects until their announced release.

In other DC animated

* An announcement is expected soon on the voice of Green Arrow in the DC Showcase short that will accompany a DC Universe animated movie release.

The Green Arrow short was written by Greg Weisman, who is producing the Young Justice series for Cartoon Network.

"It's a pretty lively piece," producer Alan Burnett said.

* Burnett, who has worked on more animated versions of Batman than anyone, said that Batman: Under the Red Hood -- due for release on July 27 -- will be as emotional as any of his Batman projects.

I hope Conroy gets the nod for this.

Ron Pearlman would make a better Miller Batman.

Yes and? Ron Pearlman has done a "normal" Batman voice in that one Justice League game. It fits perfectly for the atmosphere Year One would be driving for. It's emotionally, it's angry and it's optimistic at the same time. Conroy has that stable Batman voice really.

I kinda wish we could get more than just Batman movies from the new animated movies. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE every single one of them... But there are SO many more heroes that need to be shown.

EPIC!!!!!

Greenwood sounds perfect as Batman. I don't know what was going on in the trailer with his voice, but he sounds absolutely fantastic there. Ditto with Ackles as Jason. Slick as hell.

Can't wait for this movie!!!!
