Well this ship is sinking faster than I thought.

Yeah... I don't see how you're predicting 700M WW by Monday?

They don't. They're just trying to cause arguments. It's a daily thing now with the same posters.

lol if Batman v Superman becomes the lowest grossing cbm film of 2016.

Jeez this is so pathetic...

sub 70 drop this weekend
Might actually see growth when you compare the friday to sunday drop too
Damn this movie sure is failing
Keep this up and we'll be at 900m-1B by may

How are you getting to that much?

No disrespect intended....genuinely want to know as my math head isn't on right now.

I estimate 70-80 million international for the weekend and $20 millions Sunday. Currently at 587million without Saturday's number 22 mil. That's how I got to $700mil. I hope internal continues to pull through.

I swear the only time I see the word "Flop" in this thread is when someone is claiming that others are calling it flop.

People defending this movie and its mediocre box office are claiming others are calling it a flop to set up a strawman argument. No one, not even the most venomous "haters", is calling this movie a flop, because its not. What it is is a massive disappointment that failed to accomplish what it was made to do. But you see, the supporters of this movie cannot defend against that point because it is accurate and reflected by the cold, hard numbers. So instead, they set up a strawman argument, alleging that people are calling it a flop and saying that it is not a flop for reasons X,Y,Z...overlooking entirely the inconvenient truth of the numbers and the fact that no one has called it a flop.

Yep. BvS was the amuse-bouche of an eight course tasting menu. It sets the precedent for what to expect for the dishes that follow. That's why it's so troubling.

You said it so much more elegantly than I. :funny:

better worry if it doesn't go sub 80 next weekend it will surpass deadpool and that will end up being the lowest grossing CBM of the year

Curious what math you are using? By my estimate this will limp to 900 million WW....

$20 million domestic on Sunday? I am hard pressed to think of an occasion where a movie makes more on Sunday than it does on Friday, especially 33 % more.

But it will deliver 10 times the profit that BvS is delivering to WB... You do realize PROFIT is what matters....

And you'll still call it a failure despite how big of a number that is. This board has a personal vendetta against this film.

If it has another strong international weekend and gets to 700mil by Monday it's likely to crawl it's way to 950 to 1 billion.

Jeez this is so pathetic...

If it has the worst GA reception of the bunch, why not?

If BvS had done everything right and still made less money than the other CBMs then it would have been pathetic. A big budget film with this kind of negative buzz should consider itself lucky for 'not losing money'.

There's no way this film doesn't pass Deadpool. Not being in China hurt that film a bit, could have made 800M WW with it.

I almost hope that it does. That'll send a much more clear message to WB, because if Suicide Squad does better than BvS they can't use tone as an excuse for Bvs failure to resonate with most of the audience.

That's where I am right now. As long as it breaks even ill be satisfied. Anything less than a break even number is panic mode.

Here's a tidbit from deadline:

It’s a coin toss whether BvS holds No. 1 again next weekend as the opening weekend projection for Universal’s R-rated Melissa McCarthy comedy The Boss stand at $24M. It’s possible that BvS could gross just under that.

Ooof.

Amazing to think the numbers TDK got with no 3D and no China release. But I guess people don't like "dark and serious" movies.

Sundays typically perform a good few % lower than Saturdays. Based on Friday/Sat's numbers, Sunday is more likely to fall around $13 to $15mil.

For perspective it has already fallen below F7's daily take and that took $15mil it's 2nd Sunday.

$70mil or so international is what I'd guess too, though it could be lower as the drops are big all over the place.

If The Boss knocks this movie out of #1 spot they're in serious trouble... I thought Civil War would be the movie to knock it off.

That's just an excuse for people to whine about "critics" hating Snyder. The problem isn't about the movies being dark, the problem is the movies not being good. But that's just my opinion.

Unfortunately the International numbers coming in so far are in line with the drops for domestic. More in some territories.

They were CLEARLY shooting for a box office gross of over a billion. Right now they'll be lucky to get close to that.

Then they should have made a better & more accessible movie.

I enjoyed the movie a lot but anyone watching this movie and expected OS markets to eat it up then they're either lying or ******ed. You can't make a billion without making it big OS.
