Melissa McCarthy's two previous films, Tammy and Spy, opened with $21,600,000 and $29,000,000, respectively, with the latter losing out to Transformers: Age of Extinction, a high-budget action flick on the same caliber as Batman v Superman. Based on this, I think that the boss will lose to BvS.
Also reviews haven't posted yet for The Boss, I'm thinking this will play out more like Tammy rather than Spy. However, Identity Thief was critically panned and still did $34m OW, though with little competition. I'm also doubtful The Boss will beat BvS but we'll see. If BvS ends up #2 against a critically panned McCarthy comedy, that would be another slap to WB's face![]()
AoE was on it's second weekend. BvS will be in it's third.
How much do you guys think Captain America: Civil War's opening weekend will amount to?
To prevent going off topic, he's the right thread to ask that question:

Well, on the bright side, this should expedite the Blu Ray director's cut right?![]()
I'm thinking with the poor legs and global release, there's a good chance this comes out on home video sooner. However, not sure if there's any correlation between global releases and earlier home video releases, maybe someone else can comment on that. I imagine WB would want to tap into the home ent window sooner rather than later, and not drag this out for no real reason.

I certainly hope so. Despite my disappointment in the movie there are several I am desperate to watch again. Also, I am curious the DC can do for BvS what the DC did for Daredevil and Watchmen.
Didn't they already announce the Director's Cut release? July 16th.
Grace still in denial and comparing DC fans who hated this to abusers.

No. Amazon posted that info incorrectly. Didn't come from WBHE. Forbes was contacted by WB to retract their piece about it last week.
Safe to speculate that there may have been a date similar to that, but poor BO made them consider putting this out sooner? Hence the retraction.
