I've seen this before but it was nice rewatching it.Talk about hyperbolic nonsense...trailer 2 was fantastic and the audience i saw it with responded very well to it especially when WW appeared...trailer 2 haters really have no clue when it comes to marketing...WB knows how to market their movies...that trailer was probably one of many that they thoroughly market tested with audiences and found that one to be the most effective before they released it...only a vocal small minority of fanboys on the internet seem to dislike it where as every one else thought it was awesome...that trailer did not in any way damage or hurt the movie...the link below shows some real reactions to the trailer!

t:$650m Domestic but only $700m worldwide?![]()
Interesting to see this film getting 1 billion isn't some impossible fan claim any longer.
More interesting to see people suggesting the film will make more in domestic and intl alone than the lead in film made combined? Odd but Interesting if it happens. It will mean various people at the studio will be getting raises for their decision making skills.
I think people underestimate the importance of the reviews for a film like this impacting overall box office.
Definitely helped the b.o. $$$$If you browse this thread history prior to trailers you'll see lots of talk about 1 billion being unlikely and overblown fan speculation. Though I suppose I don't recall the term impossible being mentioned. I do mean to point out how much more likely it's seemingly become. When was this ever considered impossible? I'm quite sure WB is hedging their bets and hopes that it will make at least a billion.
I think it's a joke that such things ride on the whims of Faraci and his contemporaries. Every now and then I check out something like the sreen rant post cast and to think these are contributing voices to the holy grail that is going to decide if somethign fun or and goes on to make money, it' such an injustice to artists imo.If it's really entertaining and the critics decide it's a fun ride, it will do a bil and a half.
TFA would have made a lot of money overall no matter what, but for undecided casual viewers who headed to rottentomatoes and saw 95%..... they decided to give in to the forceDefinitely helped the b.o. $$$$
I hope BvS is a pretty widely accepted and recommended film. I don't mind if I like it and it's polarizing to some, but I'd rather it just be a more widely accepted film really. We need it to do well and give setup of JL and new standalone upcoming films a bit of boost.TFA's performance is really impressive given that it doesn't even open in China until next week.

All I know is word of mouth is going to make or break for this film. It will debut big, how big? not sure yet but even Man of Steels debut was very impressive.
If critical reviews and word of mouth aren't strong than its legs will be cut.
I think audiences want to believe this will be a good film but as soon as word breaks that it's not people will turn away. This is really a new franchise here and it doesn't have the good will of an established brand like Star Wars or even the MCU at this point.

Rumors that Daredevil season 2 will hit on the same day as BvS. That is a troll job by Marvel if that is true.![]()
It most certainly matters, the same way the Mayweather/Pacman fight mattered for AoU.At the end of the day, it ain't going to matter much. It isn't like Daredevil is going to disappear if you go see BvS instead, and vice versa.
