I hate to say it. God knows I hate to say it... I really don't want to say it. But this movie DID get better the second time. I can't see why this movie was scored so low. It drags so hard in the beginning but after seeing it the second time it didn't feel so bad.

I'm honestly the most obnoxious Marvelite here. I mean half of you won't even see this post because i'm on your ignore list. But I like this movie. Hate MOS. But I can get jiggy with BvS.

Well done DC. You are now Pepsi to my Coke.

glad you dug it big daddy divine.

poni boy i thought you left. just can't pull yourself away from the hype eh?

while you're here, just curious how did you get all the info about wb ips here and henry cavill looking? seemed kind of odd a user was given access to that kind of thing.

Track and statistical info is easy to garner if you have the right marketing tools

wow, marketing tools would tell me where henry cavill's been browsing, eh? interesting.

anyway, hope you stick around beyond checking messages.

True, I should have said resources, not tools

Actually:

- Alfred testing the voice modulator
- Alfred joking about the wine
- Alfred joking about Bruce finding a woman
- Lex "step into my office" line
- Martha's response to Batman being a friend of her son (the cape comment)

There's more lines that were intended to be funny but may not have landed with everyone. Point is, there was more than one attempt at humor.

I thought the "I thought she was with you?" line when WW showed up was pretty funny

without getting too ot, what software are you using? i dabble in consulting and what youre describing sounds like nsa level software lol. i mean, you're using a program that gives you access to private information like where henry cavill is browsing? can you track any celebrity's web movement? hit me up with a pm if you get time, genuinely curious and dont want to get ot.

In the end one could say her "reporting" was useless to the overall plot. It didn't change anything that was already going to happen.

Except it DID further the plot. It's through Lois and her investigating that we learn everything.
Her investigation is almost the entirety of the films exposition as far as Luther's ultimate puppeteering of everything.

Software =\= resources. People are resources too.

Ive said it already but second viewing really helps. I never go to the cinema for repeat viewings but for this, well worth it. The movie is quite heavy content wise so you definitely notice more details.

I think ill go again next weekend. A Trinity of viewings seems appropriate :P

And the fact that she'd just withstood a gigantic blast from a genetic monstrosity of Kryptonian origin.

But...why did Bats say that? When did he start to think she was with Supes? Because she's old as ****?

Because Bruce was only informed of the truth about her through Luther's investigation and documentation. Luthor's meta-human hypothesis seemed to be lumping them all together in some form.

In that sense, Bruce probably thought that she was, in some way, connected to Superman.

My audience, including myself, only laughed at the Martha comment. None of those other ones were funny. Maybe a 'heh'. Alfred's is complete sass meant more as an insult. They weren't hilarious. Lex's wasn't funny because his entire character was an over the top joke.

There's a range of humour, the stuff in BvS was quite subtle, it's unlikely to strike chords with people who need punchlines with the sophistication of a mallet to be found funny.

What did Alfred say through the modulator again?

So, according to the POLL around 75% of the people who voted here think the movie is a 6/10 or higher.

I took it as ironic response from Batman, given how she used super-powers too, similar to Superman.

That's fair but I don't think any of those lines were meant to be hillarious. And personally, I don't need hilarity in every superhero film. The humor that was there worked for me.
