The Dark Knight Batsuit Discussion Thread

Do you like the idea of a new Batsuit in TDK?

  • Yes, I like the idea of a change to a greyish, lighter & more streamlined suit.

  • No, I would rather Batman stay in the black, body armour type suit from BB.

Exactly. Superman is supposed to be light and cheesy. He's an alien, he can get away with dressing like that, cause it disarms people in being afraid of him...and his powers make it acceptable. Bruce is a vigilante who is putting fear in the hearts of criminals. He doesn't need to do it by wearing Batman underooos.
You are not to take Superman serious when bullets are being fired at him?
He seems "cheesy" when he melts a gun in the bad guys hand or flying
to stop a missle from blowing up metropolis?
Just because of "red trunks" on his blue uniform.
I don't think so.

:spidey:
:supes:

Well, I think Supes is somewhat cheesy & red underwear on the outside of his costume is part of that. Batman is a very serious & dark vigilante. He don't need to wear underwear like Supes. Unless he want to make criminals roll on the floor with laughter with wearing black undies. :p

Again, actually yes, I still see him as cheesy. Mainly it IS the red underpants.

I don't know why I keep talking to my brother about this because it always ends the same...but since he isn't posting in this thread I wonder what you guys think...although I bet I know your responses anyway:

I personally would not have minded if Batman was wearing a suit like in that fan film Dead End or a suit of similar material to the Superman and Spider-Man suit being used for those films.

My brother always comesback with the whole "well Batman needs protection" but the way I look at it...with the suit in the first Spider-Man film...they could have Batman wearing a suit of the same material and have the armor underneath (the kevlar).

Another thing people like my bro have said is the fact that since Nolan is making it more realistic that you wouldn't see some crimefighter wearing tights...I guess it makes sense for the realistic part of it but I still would not mind to see that.

Neither you, nor your brother get to have an opinion on Batman, any upcoming films, or any other upcoming projects.

Look at my sig if you want to know why.

? This has nothing to do with that mistake that I made. Why are you even posting when it is not referring to the topic? Are you so bored that you want to try to talk smack about me here too?

And who are you to make that decision? I don't recall you being someone special either. Just another person posting his opinions. You talk like you know everything and that everyone who does not know everything must be ******ed.

Stop being a jerk about one stupid little mistake I made in one reply. Move on already god.

What did you say before? Too extreme or what? :P

No, I didnt understand Hunter-Hippies post, and then I read his sig and saw it was a post from you and I suddenly understood. So I took away my post.

Oh. Well, that one little mistake I made is not enough for him to say all the crap he has been saying which is stupid. He refers back to that reply I did one time and acts like it is the worst thing in the world.

You should be beheaded. :)

Hate to live in a kingdom where you rule as king then. :O

I could never be king - Bettany is the king. Now Archduke I could do

Although I think maybe Hunter-Hippie is indeed making a big deal out of one mistake, I do get his point in that he feels someone so vastly uninformed about Batman should not be opining about him. On these boards , it happens all to often and I can understand his frustration.
I propose, however, that Hunter should maybe get over it. It's not all that important.

Guessing you are one of those people hoping Bettany is still in the Joker race? I remember that one thread with Joker news saying he is not being mentioned anymore and mentions: Weaving, Hulme, and I forget the third at the moment.

It was a mistake about Ivy's origin...not like the topic was about her...they started to compare origins in the different animated series and the comics...I gave my 2 cents..made a mistake...not like it is now judgement day and all must repent because I made that small mistake.

"Poison Ivy like Harley Quinn was first created in BTAS though" <---- You're kidding, right? Almost everyone know that isn't true!! Poison Ivy appeared in the comic books before BTAS. How can you not know this? Guess you grew up with BTAS than the comic books, huh? Tsk tsk. :p

Simple question: Where have you been?

Which was later followed by news that he is still in the mix. Also you were looking for Jude Law.

I was hoping I would not have to say this again.

Basically I was watching some old BTAS episodes and my brother was walking by and I was just curious and asked him who besides Harley was created in TAS...he was like "I forget...Poison Ivy? I don't know?". I did not care for looking it up myself because I can care less about Ivy somewhat.

Im 18...yea I grew up with BTAS but I have read stuff that is outside that obviously....but also obviously I am not going to go around comic book stores to read old comics when my parents were still young. I read what I can find...that is something I let slip by.

And just because of that happening that does not mean my opinion does not mean squat about Batman and stuff related to him.
