The Dark Knight Batsuit- teh good or teh bad?

I think the new suit just looks... too futuristic . If that's at all possible.

I know it's a new film and all but they should of just kept the BB suit, much cleaner looking

I'm glad they changed it. It shows adaptability. Change is a good thing, I believe. And it shows Bruce's ability to grow. Besides, that old suit would smell like **** if he wore it for too long. Because I doubt you can wash a piece of Body Armor just like that.

Lol nice one. Yeh I agree, change is good, but it isn't if the suit change looks crap.

I like the new suit other than it's hard to judge these things, in BB I found the Tumbler to be a bit strange looking and not at all what I expected then I saw the movie and I completely changed my mind towards it, so I'll reserve judgement untill I've seen the movie.

just don't see the point in bumping a thread to say "hey go look at this other thead in which we're talking about the same thing you guy already stopped talking about in here", but whatever floats your boat i guess

That's not when the thread got "bumped." It was "bumped" when I replied to a comment about the suit when I first went through all the thread discussions. Anyway, I don't think of posting things in terms of "bumping" - I just reply to things I find interesting when I look around.

Weta Workshop to Create Justice League Costumes

The Dominion Post has confirmed that Weta Workshop will design the costumes for Happy Feet director George Miller's Justice League adaptation.

The film's Wellington-based American producer, Barrie Osborne, who produced Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, confirmed Weta Workshop's involvement.

"They are doing all the costumes and they're doing a brilliant job," he said from Sydney, where filming will start soon. "A lot of people thought it would be too hard, that you can only make those things in Hollywood."

No budget has been announced for the long-awaited movie, which would bring together a range of superheroes including Superman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.

Weta Workshop specialises in physical effects such as costumes, props, models and movie sets, and Weta Digital does computer-generated visual effects.

Osborne said it was possible Weta Digital could also be involved in the film, based on the DC Comics series, but that would depend on the studio's commitments to other projects.

"George Miller has a great take on the material, so it elevates it to something that's not a comic-book movie," he said.

I like the idea of the new suit, with the body armor modifications and all, and some of the stuff (the padding, the face) looks awesome. What I can't seem to get past is the goddamn neck. I loved the suit so much when I first saw it, I was stunned. It looked like Batman was ready to go to the streets for all out gang warfare. But when I saw the trailer, one scene that kept eating away at my soul was the scene in the ball, where Batman responds to Joker with "Then you're gonna love me..." I couldn't stop thinking about how bad the neck looks. It makes him look like some kinda cyborg. I guess there's no use complaining, cuz they're not gonna change it, and there were some things I didn't like about the Begins suit either. It just seems like there's never one suit that has everything working for it in terms of look AND feasibility. This new suit is definitely feasible, and some parts look great, but that damn neck, man....:-(

I just had to respond because I SO COMPLETELY agree with you. That EXACTLY what I thought and felt about it. I mean, I could even live with the kneepads and the padding and all that stuff, but the neck... jebus. *shakes head.* Yah, there is nothing we can do... it's just ... I donno. Such a waste. Because they already got it right the first time. I mean I know it was bloody uncomfortable for Christian, so they could have made it out of another material, but it looked perfect.

How I wish we could go back to the days of debating whether the little triangle bits that held on the cape would be "too visually distracting..." =P

I dont know wheter the suit is good or bad until the film comes out, but im leaning towards the middle. The reason I dont know is because weve gotten pics of the batsuit that miss guide us. Like we'll get one awesome pic and then after that well get a terrible one! So, I seriously dont know but im really concerned about it

I think it will turn out all right. No doubt I still think the BB suit look better, but the new one isn't too bad. It look a lot better in the trailer than some of the pics to me.
