Affleck is makeing a wise business movie, he plays batman and WB will finance any movie he wants for years to come.

Horrible news everyone: I'm getting reports that Brad Pitt has been cast as the Gotham Falafel Guy.

Now I'm sure Pitt is an okay actor but he's mostly just a pretty face. He can't pull off the pathos of being a run-down falafel vendor who "has kids to feed." This character is deeply important to getting this right and I honestly believe this is stunt casting on WB's part just to make money. What's next? Oprah as Alfred? A goldfish as Ace the Bathound? You can all see that WB has lost their minds and have no idea what the mythos is really about. And with Goyer composing the script, the film is all but doomed.

LOL

Notice that the DC announcement does not refer to this as an MOS sequel but a Batman/Superman film.

I've been saying this all along but many still seem convinced that this is MOS 2. :whatever:

I just can't by Affleck in the Bat Suit and with the growling voice. I consider Affleck to be a bit too famous and infamous in a way. He isn't know to be that dark actor, like Bale was. Bale was unknown but also known and very underrated. Affleck is very overrated (in acting only). I was fine with Affleck directing JL, no sweat, but based on previous works and his acting career in my head, he is considered a joke to me. Worst choice I have heard in I think any comic book movie history.

I dont want Gordon in the film! It's packed enough so far!

This movie is definitely not going to be MOS2.

It will likely be a 50/50 split. 40/60 maybe.

This certainly won't be a Superman movie featuring Batman, but it won't be a Batman movie featuring Superman either.

Both characters, and their supporting cast, will play a significant role. Neither takes precedent over the other.

DC is dropping that pretense and I expect WB and Snyder will soon too. And that is fine.

Its better to acknowledge this is a Batman/Superman film than to pretend its Superman but have Batman co-star.

With Ben Affleck in the role it's at least going to be 50/50 if not more slanted to him. Affleck is WB's golden boy they have a lot of faith in him.

Earlier on the same topic somebody said they could have done MUCH worse and they could have done MUCH better.

Is it just me or will anyone else "cringe" when they see the poster and see Ben Affleck underneath Batman :(

He's a handsome tall square jawed well built individual. I'm sure he'll look fine. His acting on the other hand.....

I wasn't sold that this would be a MOS2 movie, that press conference essentially confirms it.
