as long as I don't see Affleck in this movie, just Batman and Bruce, I will be fine. But I don't think Affleck has the chops to make me not see Affleck!

Haha that's an understatement. People weren't going to be happy whoever was chosen. This Affleck hate is really feeling my ego and I'm sure the same is happening to other Affleck defenders. :yay: :p

Exactly!! I am excited for the first time for this film. A little worried too but with Ben on board and hopefully having creative input it is good.

What I would like to see is a Lois and Bruce romance. Never done before on screen but that could be very interesting. Can't wait to see what kind of chemistry Ben has with Amy. I wonder if he screen tested with her?
 
The more people hate this, the more I love it. Is that wrong?

90% of fans harboured their own idiosyncratic and completely inappropriate choice, and would have thrown their toys out of the pramwhoever else was cast.

Affleck, to me, just feels like a relief. He's an actor! He's a pretty decent actor! He looks great for the role! He isn't Scott Adkins!

Nope. I am the same. I was in full support the moment he was announced and seeing this hate just makes me all the more happy he got the role. :hehe:
 
When i see ben affleck in the bat costume i see ben affleck. He could wear any costume and ill be convinced he will make an awesome ben affleck.

Exactly. If he does an awesome job, we'll be wondering how wrong we were.
If not, it means Cavill looks even better playing aside him.

I am the same way. I'm reading all the comments on social media and for some strange reason it's giving me that sensation throughout my body that you get when you're just really, really happy and excited.

I'm loving this.
 
It's interesting. I have no middle ground on my opinion of this. I keep swinging back and forth from thinking that this is going to be a complete train-wreck of a casting choice to thinking that Affleck is going to own the role and completely surprise everyone who doubts him.

I am going to keep note of the day when most of the naysayers flip over to support. I missed cataloguing the Heath Ledger flip.
 
Well in light of BatBen being cast it just makes me wonder if WB plans on using Scott Adkins as a stunt double for him since they favor each other and offered him an audition.
 
The internet would have absolutely and unquestionably exploded with rage and retribution if it was around when Michael Keaton was announced as Batman. A stodgy looking dude best known at the time to the general public as Beetlejuice. At least we know Affleck has the basic ingredients in terms of looks and acting-chops to get the job done.
 
Another great thing, IMO, about Affleck is that I think this may move JL forward in a way that ensures a quality film and that gives fanboys and gives the solo Flash, GL and WW everyone wants.

Dunno, just have this feeling Ben is going to end up with creative control not just of Batman but the entire DC universe.
