I’m way more excited for JL 2 and 3 as comic books. Zack loves TDKReturns and Watchmen so it would be neat getting a beefy graphic novel in just 2 years time that tells the entire story. You skip the controversy, you save a lot of money & time. Wanting more is kinda...entitled at this point?

That’s because Snyder had a 5 movie arc and wasn’t concerned with doing the Marvel thing.

Sure. Business wise they know what they’re doing over there. It’s mostly not my cup of tea but I won’t deny where their strengths lie. Snyder isn’t a good business man which makes me wonder why him and his wife are still producers or how they even got there. But it’s fairly obvious that Zack never wanted to do what the suits concocted. He has his vision. Miller’s Batman is the dumbest idea ever for starting a shared universe but it’s really fresh in the 2010’s for storyline potential. It also sorta makes sense to have a veteran Batman gather younger metahumans for a league of Justice.

What he clearly wanted to do was a Dark Knight Returns movie or maybe even a Dark Knight returns two-parter or trilogy. Whatever. If that's what he wanted, he should've just done that, make it R-rated and make it self-contained. That simple.

Oh I know I just think it’s funny they’re going so detailed with this one. They’re really setting themselves up for a huge fall here.

Interestingly they announce all these post ZSJL plans but their main outlet to pass this info on is via the LightCast Pod which they’ve just announced will end in March. Funny that isn’t it? Like they’re ducking out before all their BS will be exposed.

Yup and if this is meant to be the Batfleck series that he was originally intending nothing we’ve heard from Ben & later Joe point to any of that.
