He seemed cocky & confident, even crossing gods with a smirk. "Talk to Fish?" Wow.

Bruce isn't good with first impressions.

How do you go from from being jaded and angry to THAT? Especially after the death of the worlds saviour whom he claimed he felt he had let down

Bruce always was cocky, just not as much when he was grimming it for years in Gotham.

huh? bruce's arc in bvs was pretty clear. falling to the darkness, redeemed by the light. saul to paul, this is the natural progression of the character.

Aquaman nerly ripped him in two. Honestly makes me wonder exactly what Bruce will say or do to get him on the team.

my guess is, atlantis gets threatened, forcing arthur to take bruce up on the offer.

i like that idea, killerwolf.

Just throwing it out there... though I believe that's the reason why Cyborg will join - his father being kidnapped. So, if that's the case, it may be too much to give both characters basically same motivation.

Most likely. One of the boom tubes is in Atlantis too I think.

Yup and one with Amazons. Though that mother box (boom tube as you called it) that men from older days have buried didn't look like one Cyborg was made of, so it could be that Silas somehow got to possess an Atlantean or Amazonian one which he used to make Cyborg. One of the scoopers mentioned which race got which color of mother box. There are silver, red and golden if I'm not mistaken. I'll try to find it.

That would work. Making Aquaman realise the world is at risk like Bruce says, and importantly for him, the world under the sea.

I don't think people on here actually understand what character arcs or character progression is. How this is seen as a logical progression from the Bruce in BvS is beyond me. He'd be driven, but smart arse and wise cracking? I highly doubt it

Here's the real reason, the last film got panned and they've done a 180, hopefully there's more middle ground and that'll be apparent in the film itself because just from the teaser it looks like a really jarring contrast

i laid out how it was logical, he was redeemed by hope in bvs, and furthermore, he was hardly dourman the whole film, esp when with alfred. that's not an interpretation, unless you're being obtuse about bvs, it's right there in the print. your condescension aside, i don't think anyone would disagree that jl is going to be reacting to bvs' criticisms. sure, it's possible they go for one too many zingers, but i think that's better than doubling down on the tone of bvs.

Ben looked great in the teaser. Very much the TAS Bruce Wayne brought to life. Loved his banter with the other characters, thought it was very in character (except maybe the fish one), but it did feel like Ben delivered them a bit flatly. It's probably all edited out of context and everything, but they're on the right track. I can actually imagine Conroy saying the same lines too.

Something funny about the new Bat-suit cowl, the ears and and cowl design makes his head look loong.

I'm getting flashbacks to TDK's egg head design.

Hopefully it will look better as the movie goes on.

I actually prefer the suit redesign. Well, I could do without the slight armor look, but everything else is a great subtle improvement.

Yeah, I think the cowl looks much improved. Less like a tree trunk.

Absolutely. It seems like they made changes many of us wishing here. Little less chubby mask and slightly longer ears or something.

The neck is slimmer. I honesty like the BvS cowl a bit more because it made him look like his traps were bigger. More beastly. Though, I absolutely love the darker grey and the suit itself. More could have been done with the logo, but I'm satisfied with the result. Much better than what I imagined.

Well none of us have had our parents killed in front of us and inspired to take up a life of vigilantism only to get your friends and colleagues murdered and crippled while dealing with the knowledge that alien life exists and may or may not be a threat to the human race only to find out that the thing you feared most has a human mother that he loves and cares for deeply which completely flips your moral structure and understanding of compassion only to have this compassionate being murdered before your eyes by a giant monster created by a man he could have considered a business partnership with that has knowledge that meta-humans exist among us and could save the world from an apocalyptic event that you have visions of alllllllllllllllllll while dealing with a little problem of a government official assembling a task force of the most dangerous criminals on the planet.

Have you ever experienced that? No? Me neither, so we can't really say what a "natural" character arc would be for Bruces crazy f'd up life.
