i loved everything about this movie to even try and list it but one of the things i enjoy the most about batman now is that his fighting seems more fluid and he is alot more violent

And one thing I was very happy about was that Heath got the last laugh over those media-hungry jerk offs who wanted to boycott his funeral. Those people gave Christians a bad name, but now more people then ever are watching and praising Ledger's performance, and rightly so. All those over-zealous fanatics can do now is sit at home and grumble that all their kids are paying money to watch an "unholy" man on the big screen.

Are you talking about the delusional Westboro Baptist Church? I think they're hate filled beliefs are properly discounted by an entire world of true followers of Christ.

one thing that certainly satisfied me was coming out of the theatre and hearing peoples reactions.

I mean we can all tell just from hearing tid bits of peoples conversations who knows a legit amount of stuff about batman and who has no idea what the f*** they're talking about


But hearing people of all ages...fanboys....stupid preppy girls who just saw it for Heath, elderly people....everyone..every damn person coming out of the theater with total enthusiam...telling the people waiting in line to get in that its the best movie they've ever seen...just totally blown.... away made me so unbeliveably happy.

That is whats making this movie ground breaking...and I love seeing each time I go to watch it again

I loved the scene in the hospital with Two face and the Joker and he says it was nothing personal, everytime the joker was on screen i had the biggest smile on my face, i loved that he would always say "do you know how i got these scars?"
Two face was amazing, finally we have seen a decent interpretation on the big screen(Tommy Lee Jones WTF), i love the bit in the Courthouse where the mobster draws the gun and Harvey grabs it and punches the guy, i think i was gonna actually jump out of my seat and cheer when he did that. i cannot forget scarecrow, i completely loved his scene, i am so glad you saw cillian murphy aswell, the whole film was awesome, the best cinema experience i have ever had.

there were some really hilarious bits that people dont seem to talk about much,

when he gets out the truck, shoots the gun, falls over, gets up again, man its like a cartoon! seeing someone do such funny stuff who is so evil, you just dunno what to think lol

and then, when the goon gets shocked tryin to take off batmans mask, LOL at jokers reaction! he jumps OVER batman laughing hysterically at the goon, gets in his face takin the piss that he got shocked! lol!

another hilarious moment.. SLIDING down the money as if its a slide! pure joker! not only that, but once hes on the ground..chucking money at *you know who* on top. classic. and of course, it hits him perfectly right on the head. perfect.

and, everyone knew this was coming, the hospital was the cherry on the top. from the....HIIiiiii... to harvey, you just knew it was gonna be hilarious. washing the hands, KEEPOOWWW when he presses the thing and then when hes walking like a nut case, the delayed explosion.. the improv and then BOOM and he craps himself lol. 100% perfect

I don't think I can post pictures, as I wanted to post the roof-top one of the 3 heroes discussing getting Lau back, I enjoyed the whole film of course, but some specifics
- Batman, Harvey and Gordon on the roof-top together
- Gordon alone waiting for Batman
- Bruce having scars all over his body
- The Joker and Batman scenes (interrogation and final scene)
- Bruce and Alfred conversations

All those little moments really made the movie for me as well. And also, was Joker's reaction at the delayed explosion really improv? Did Heath actually expect the whole building to blow up all at once? If so, then that makes it even more funny that he didn't break character.

- The Hong Kong scene was sooo badass

- Everyone's acting was top notch

- Two Face was gnarly, Eckhart nailed it.

- The interrogation and hostpital scenes were insane

Pretty much the whole movie was a satisfaction.

The *dark* Batman once he thought Gordon was dead- beating up the thugs at the nightclub...and the 'ankle' scene.

But...the one image that sticks in my mind is...Batman's WHITE sonar eyes. I smiled as soon as I saw them. The Batman of the comic books on screen for the first time. Or the closest look at least.

There was very little I didn't like. I loved the whole of Batman, Gordon, Lucius and Dent's arcs (with just enough ambiguity over the his demise).

The pencil trick, playing dead, and the truck-side shootout were all "wow" moments that made absolute sense of this Joker, even if he is a little different from the comicbook version I love.

For some reason, my biggest joygasm came with Batman busting heads in Maroni's nightclub. It just seemed so right.

2)Bruce Wayne being portrayed as highly intelligent (love how he takes Fox's idea and expands on it)
3)The birth of The Dark Knight Detective - how could anyone not love the way Bats uncovers a fingerprint from a bullet?
4)Eckart brought so much passion and rage to Harvey Dent. You could almost feel his loss. When Ramirez tries to justify her actions for double-crossing Rachel, Dent yells, "DON'T!!!" and his anger is almost palpable.
5)The way the Batpod emerges from the Tumbler! I don't care if it looks fake to some.
6)I've seen this film more than once and so far, every time the body of the dead guy dressed up as Bats slams against Mayor Garcia's office window, it startles the hell out of me!
7)I'm happier with Gyllenhaal's portrayal of Rachel here.
8)In the last scene, Dent questions why he was the only one who lost everything and Batman painfully replies, "It wasn't." That scene really got me because it's kinda like a slap in the face considering all that Rachel means to Bruce - even though Dent doesn't know Batman's identity. Thankfully he doesn't reveal it like Raimi's Parker always does.
9)The scene where Bats goes after Lau is Ace!
10)The Russian girl (played by Beatrice Rosen) looks great in her bikini.
11)Bruce risking his own neck to save the life of a coward who earlier tries to blackmail him. It shows just how much of a hero Bruce really is even though he doesn't think so.
12)Gordon's wife deserves some credit here. She really shows how good you can be in even the tiniest of roles.
13) The title of this film.
14) The damsel in distress/love interest gets offed in a film based on a superhero - FIRST TIME EVER!
15) Best film in its genre - ever!

Too many scenes in this movie that I LOVED. But something that satisfied me the most was Batman not killing the Joker after throwing him off the roof. At first I was like noooooo!! then I was like yaaaaaaay!

Well aside from the whole movie, I thought I'd mention some little things:

- intro with the WB, Legendary and DC logo: the fact that it started with the thumping beat similar to BB made my eyes well up

- blue smoke symbol: in BB we have the bats forming; Batman's creation. In TDK we have a bat bursting through the fire; Batman triumphing in the chaos.

- prologue transition: how it meshed so seamlessly with the next scene

- signal montage: the effect of the bat signal on Gotham, Gordon waiting there silently

- Mayor interview: on the last Gotham Tonight episode, Engel mentions next show having an interview with the Mayor, and we see it in the signal montage. Made the virals that much more special.

- Scarecrow: using fear gas yet again, talking about Batman like he personally knows him

- Detective Batman: radiated bills, crime scene evidence, bullet finger print, etc.

- Joker: everything. I couldn't have been more satisfied with his performance. It was, IMO, perfect.

- Dent: everything. Again, couldn't have asked for anything more.

- Bruce: everything. LOL All 3 roles he played were great.

- GORDON: loved how he had such a huge role. At times my favorite character in the film.

- Batpod intro: so awesome. I predicted it would come from the tumbler, and was happy to see such a cool moment. What made it even better however, was the fact that up until that point, the chase scene had no music, but when the pod emerged, the familiar theme blared.

- Maroni: Eric Roberts was just too cool. I didn't know what to expect from his performance, but I loved him.

- Batman in the club: I've been waiting for a scene like this forever. And it sent chills down my spine to finally see it.

- Lenses: YES! YES! YES! Even if it was brief, seeing Batman use lenses was awesome.

- Joker being tossed off building: not only a slight nod to 89, but it played with the same score that played when Bats left Ra's on the train to die; the evolution of Batman (let Ra's die but saved the Joker).

- Batman saving the Joker: I knew they weren't going to kill the Joker, but it was great seeing Batman saving him.

- Two-Face's coin: excellent use of the coin, especially having it land heads up after Batman knocks him over the ledge. Not only does it show that the boy would have lived, but it symbolizes how Harvey has now fallen with his good side up (the people of Gotham never learn of his other half).

- The final montage: from the future views to Gordon's speech, it was amazing.

- The title: I always wondered whether there was a reason the film was titled TDK, and I couldn't have been happier to see it be truly meaningful to the story.

- The end credits: how the film ended exactly like BB, with the title coming up playing to the same music. Made my eyes well up again.

- The score: I was afraid, having loved the BB score so much, that TDK would deviate from it too much, however, I was delighted to hear that it was very similar. As for the new tunes, absolutely loved how the Joker's electric buzzing played out, often times used as a warning that The Joker is coming.

I pretty much loved er...everything! (except - 1.) I was hoping we'd get at least a glimpse of the new Wayne Manor/Batcave and 2.) Bale's Batman voice has only seemed to get worse)

But specifics-

-The running "Wanna know how I got these scars?" bit. The first story with the father made me go "They're not really going with a lame story like that are they?" Then it was paid off later, and I simply thought "Yes. Nolan gets it."

-The Batpod introduction. It was just one of those super exciting moments in a relatively bleak film. The anticipation, with the Batmobile rumbling and grinding, and the blast off of the pod was just fantastic.

-Harvey, Gordon, and Batman on the rooftop. I like how Bats just stood there silently for a while.

-Batman at the crime scene.

-The entirety of the Batman/Joker relationship. PERFECTO.

-Batman secretly devising the spy system. It's just one of those things that's so perfectly Batman. It was clever, it was done in total secrecy, and it hinted at the extreme, sometimes immoral lengths Batman can go to.

-"I'm going to tell them the whole thing was your idea." Haha, just a little thing, but I thought it was a perfect scene-capper. A moment of levity in a seriously dark point.

Honestly, pretty much everything.

Having been on these boards as a lurker/poster for almost a year and thinking I had pulled a 'Spiderman 3' on myself and spoiled the whole movie, only to find out while watching that I hadn't done that in the least (I didn't watch TV spots 6 and up, the My Hero clip, or the other clips).

Then the little things, like how I expected the opening scene to have no impact since I had seen it a ton of times, then to be fascinated with the WB, Legendary, DC logos coming up with the same thumping as Begins just made me feel like such a kid to be all excited for a movie haha.

And of course, the movie itself. When the credits came up I was completely satisfied and had absolutely no reason to be upset with the movie we had just watched. That, and I saw it two days before everyone else so I had power over coworkers haha.

I guess I liked everything thats already been mentioned but I did also like the subtle nod to one of Batman's classic lines. When the guy in the beginning asks "What are you superstitious?..." Yes he is a criminal hes superstitious and cowardly.
