Black Friday

I work 5:45am-3pm at Target on carts Black Friday :csad:

No. I plan on getting Volume 5 of Rex Mundi and Dead Space for the 360 this week

I'm one the rare women that hates shopping. I picked up an extra shift at the Kennedy Center for that day, they've approved 60 hours of OT for the holidays. I'm so on it.

I work from 4pm to midnight on BF, but I don't think anyone will care much about food while shopping.

anyone know any good stores that are having Samsung 40" HDTVs on sale? It's hard to know what stores cuz they dont advertise black friday sales.

I had to work Black Friday at Best Buy once, a week later I stopped showing up to work. Would never want to do that again.

Is this one of these days when Americans violently trample each other for sales?

I usually go to scope out the fights that inevitably pop up. One time I saw a burly bald man threatening a shrimpy target employee. Poor sap had paid for a buggy load of stuff--a television--and just couldn't get a way out of the store. He was getting irate and it was funny.

Stuff like that, maybe a CD.

I need a new laptop. Sadly, I get paid THIS week, and not even a lot. Guess I'll wait till X-mas.

Ah, Black Friday. I worked at a certain electronics store chain on Black Friday twice (2006, 2007). Everyone showed up for work at 4:30am, and you'd either get a few 30 minute lunches and leave at 9:00pm, or you'd get a 2-3 hour lunch and leave at 12:00am the next morning. It was pure hell. The only way we got through it was through substance abuse. During breaks, you'd find employees smoking weed, drinking alcohol, drinking coffee, and taking Valium. By 4:00pm, we'd all be ****ed up.

So remember, folks: if you're shopping on Black Friday and the salespeople seem kinda spaced or hyper, it's because they're on something. ;)
