Black Friday

I want to hit up Amazon.com, but I can tell which sales are for Black Friday, and which ones are their normal reduced prices.

Ah, Black Friday. I worked at a certain electronics store chain on Black Friday twice (2006, 2007). Everyone showed up for work at 4:30am, and you'd either get a few 30 minute lunches and leave at 9:00pm, or you'd get a 2-3 hour lunch and leave at 12:00am the next morning. It was pure hell. The only way we got through it was through substance abuse.

:lmao:

There is so many good deals out there tommorrow but I have no money. Next year I'm definitely going to save my cash a couple months before and buy some stuff, even if I have to wait in line for two hours in the cold.

The only way we got through it was through substance abuse. During breaks, you'd find employees smoking weed, drinking alcohol, drinking coffee, and taking Valium. By 4:00pm, we'd all be ****ed up.

So remember, folks: if you're shopping on Black Friday and the salespeople seem kinda spaced or hyper, it's because they're on something. ;)

In college, I worked a day after thanksgiving but I showed up for my regular shift time which was in the afternoon.

A co-worker *****ed about me not being there in the morning, and I just pointed to my scheduled time, then the sign next to the schedule that said "all employees are to work their posted schedule"

Ikea is giving free breakfast before 10:00 or 10:30 a.m. I keep thinking tomorrow is just a regular day and was actually thinking about hitting them up for it. I'm keeping my ass in bad and making my own damn breakfast.

Amazon is doing good so far. I don't have to go to Target due to Amazon having all the same deals on movies and TV shows.

I got work at 5:30am - 3:30pm tommorrow at my local Target.

All I can say is...

PURE HELL.

Get ready to rock 'n roll folks. =/

If you go to Target.com you'll get free shipping, I can't remember how long the offer is for.

I'm going to the casino tomorrow. I'd rather gamble my money away...

My lunatic cousin is going out to the Athens mall at 3am.

I however, will be at home sleeping.

My cousins left to go to some strip mall at midnight tonight. Then one of them is going to a mall tomorrow morning.

Amazon has free shipping on orders over $25.

Target is crossed off my list of places to go tomorrow due to Amazon having all of their deals. So I got everything I wanted from there. Some gifts for others and some for me. lol.

Hmm, it must be what you buy. They (Amazon) fleeced the **** out of me last time I bought something and it was over $25.

You have to make sure to select free shipping. Amazon always keeps it on standard shipping, but if you are over 25 bucks then you have to select the free shipping option.

I just got back. I hit the mall at 4am then ran around there for a bit, then went to Toys R Us, Target, Hhgregg, Best Buy and Circuit City. I bought a **** load of clothes from Pacsun, American Eagle, Anchor Blue, Hot Topic and Aeropostale. I also got a bunch of dvds for $3-$5 each.

Constantine
Pan's Labyrinth
all three Godfather movies (The new restoration versions)
Goodfellas
Momento
Dodgeball

Plus I pre-ordered my copy of The Dark Knight at Best Buy. All in all, it was a good morning. I didn't get my digi cam or Blu-Ray (waiting on those for a bit) nor did I find any good deals on action figures, but it was good morning. Not a whole lot of people out, either...I guess the economy really is hitting this season hard.

went... everything was still out of my price range

What did you expect them to do, turn every store into Family Dollar? :oldrazz: This is like taking a tv that costs 1500 bucks and slashing it to make it like 750 bucks.

I did go to the store earlier today just to see if they had any Wii available, because I called dude yesterday and he said they were getting some today about 5am. Went in today, all that **** was ganked. Every system he said, was snatched up as soon as they got off the truck.

A worker died after being trampled and a woman miscarried when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island Wal-Mart Friday morning, witnesses said.

The unidentified worker, employed as an overnight stock clerk, tried to hold back the unruly crowds just after the Valley Stream store opened at 5 a.m.

Witnesses said the surging throngs of shoppers knocked the man down. He fell and was stepped on. As he gasped for air, shoppers ran over and around him.

"He was bum-rushed by 200 people," said Jimmy Overby, 43, a co-worker. "They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too...I literally had to fight people off my back."

Nassau County Police are still investigating and would not confirm the witness accounts. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. Police did say there were several injuries but weren't more specific.

Jessica Keyes was among the shoppers. She told the Daily News she saw a woman knocked down just a few feet from the dying worker.

"When the paramedics came, she said 'I'm pregnant,'" Keyes said.

Paramedics treated the woman inside the store and then, according to Keys, told the woman:

"There's nothing we can do. The baby is gone."

Before police shut down the store, eager shoppers streamed past emergency crews as they worked furiously to save the store clerk's life.

"They were working on him, but you could see he was dead, said Halcyon Alexander, 29. "People were still coming through."

Only a few stopped.

"They're savages," said shopper Kimberly Cribbs, 27. "It's sad. It's terrible."

Where'd you go? The GameStop I went to was putting all their stuff out on Wednesday afternoon. They had 3 boxes full of Wiis.

EDIT: ****, that's messed up. I can't believe a pregnant woman was dumb enough to go shopping. They need to arm employees with whips or those electric prodders they use on cattle.

They had these on backorder, so they don't have anymore in stock now. But the thing is, they sold the ones they had on backorder because the people weren't there. I don't know how the **** they're gonna do that now.
