Clone Wars "Bonus Content"

Awesome News…can't wait.

Dont worry, it's not complicated. You get yourself a membership (i have the 7.99 per month plan) and you're ready to watch. I do think there's a free trial, but i dont remember how long that goes for.

No mention of blu-ray, but i'm thinking yes, down the line.

Thanks, Bim. Yeah, I looked into it and I see my kids' X-Box hooked up to the internet can do Netflix. And I see I can watch it on the computer, too. And yes, it is one month free trial. So, I guess now is a good excuse to try it!

Ah nice, yw . I dont have an X-Box or anything like that lol, so i got myself a hdmi cable and just hook my laptop to my tv, very easy and works nicely.

State Unknown
Clone cadet Tup is suffering from a severe neurological disorder that causes the death of a Jedi master. Trying to find the motives for the assassination, Anakin escorts Tup back to Kamino for examination, but then they are attacked by the Separatists…

Conspiracy
Clone cadet Tup is undergoing a medical examination in the sterile laboratories of Kamino to find the motives for his shocking attack on the Jedi master. For the examination to succeed, cadet Fives must enter the depth of Tup’s mind, where he finds a secret code manipulation in the cloning program of the Republic.

Fight or Flight
Clone cadet Tup is transported back to Coruscant, where his body is to be examined by the chancellor’s personal physician. Cadet Fives is also investigating the matter and discovers that a modified code has been hidden in the minds of all the clones…

Orders
Fives is still trying to find answers regarding the mysterious actions of clone cadet Tup. Hoping to personally speak with chancellor Palpatine, Fives finds himself suddenly accused of trying to murder the chancellor and decides to make a run for it.

I saw this just yesterday. Poor Tup & Fives...

Very interesting. Seems that Tup could have been a test subject for Order 66? hmm :hmm

Looks awesome but I am very wary due to the retcon to the Sith homeworld.

If they touch upon the origin of the Sith, this could cause some drastic changes to the EU.

CANNOT WAIT!

These arcs that touch the whole becoming one with the Force (Qui-Gon!) and the nature of the Force and the secret of Order 66 look epic!

Yeah not too pleased about that. Unless Korriban just had a name change...

Awesome!

And did anybody else here how one of Dark Horse Comic's last few Star Wars projects is going to have Maul and the Mandalorians featured in it? I'm hoping we get some animated closure to that thread, but it looks like I won't find it here.

Well EU isn''t canon and this is so really it should be taken as truth.

As excited as I am for Rebels and how darn good that trailer is I can't help but still be a bit disappointed this is it.
Hopefully when I see more of Rebels Ill dig it more but the animation just doesn't seem up to Clone Wars quality.

Oh you still think it is? Thats cute. Haha ;)

No I get it, I just don't see it as Canon.

Well I've been growing more and more frustrated over time in fears the EU will become uncanon and overridden. For me its something I have put so some much into, the Expanded Universe WAS canon in the eyes of even Lucasfilm. When TCW changed some established things there was talk of rewrites to certain EU to mach up with TCW.

It looks like the new Story Group over at DisneyLucas will not be considering the EU. :( For me its disheartening, outside the Original Trilogy the EU has been my favorite place for all things Star Wars. Even George liked some of that things in the EU and put it into the prequels (Coruscant and Aayla Secura for example). I'll will have to deal with this bulldozer of the EU, please forgive me if I get angry....it'll pass and I will accept it eventually.

Personally I don't pay much attention to what's 'officially' considered canonical and what's not. I'll enjoy the stories I enjoy, regardless of whether or not someone tells me they are or aren't canon. It's not like they can magically erase all the stuff that's come before. Oh they can change some details here and there for future stories, but it doesn't change the fact I still enjoyed, and still can enjoy, the original works.

I understand that, and I will probably adjust to feeling the same way. But most famous franchises get books that are un-canon such as Star Trek, Doctor Who, and most famous TV/Movie franchises. The difference with Star Wars books/video games/comics is that it was official (with some exceptions) and in a way made Star Wars into one of the largest fictional universes out there. Rivaling the largest fantasy series out there and such. With it all becoming non-canon its just like every other media tie-in such as the hundreds of Star Trek material out there and not as special (Although looking at Buffy, Farscape, Firefly, and more official canon comic book continuations are becoming quite common). But true no one is taking those stories away from me, it just might feel different for a while.

IMO the EU is largely what was kept Star Wars still living today, strongly living today I should say. The 90s EU such as Heir to the Empire, Dark Empire, Shadows of the Empire, X-Wing Rouge Squadron comics/novels and more got Star Wars popular again. It was wonderful growing up then with all the new Star Wars toys coming out, some of which were EU characters. It was in the 90s the EU rose and George Lucas took notice of the rising popularity of Star Wars(not that it wasn't popular, but it had certainly quieted down)...which led to him "finally deciding" it was time to do the prequels.

Everything looks wonderful, but I am especially excited for that Yoda arc!

I'm also looking forward to finally seeing that cool snow chase sequence. :D

More Anakin. That is what has me most excited. Zod do I love Clone Wars Anakin.

I can't wait to watch the entire series next month. It's the best thing Netflix has done so far...

Clone Wars Anakin is everything Hayden's portrayal should have been. (And I'm not putting that failure entirely on Hayden). Matt Lanter's Anakin is charming, charismatic, engaging, witty...just an all-around likable guy. THIS Anakin's fall to the dark side would be surprising. Hayden's angst-filled, brooding characterization? Not so much.
