Bought/Thought Dec 26th (Spoilers within)

Everything I've read about it guarantees that it cannot be any less than awesome.

Um. No. That's contrasting someone's work with toilet paper. You have compared me and the upcoming ASM team to "known rapists". Let's look at that.

Toilet Paper/Known Rapist

Which would you find more insulting?

A paper product used in a necessary, regular hygenic ritual.

or

Someone who sexually assaults people, scars them for life, and hopes to do so again.

So, if you weren't calm, your analogies would be worse than comparing people to rapists?

Sorry. But no. This isn't even close to an apology. Nope.

The only apology I'm accepting is this:

You shake your inner Etch-A-Sketch.
You approach this with a clear & open mind.
You visualize a New Day.
You imagine a comic, full of Brand New potential-- by a Brand New editorial office and Brand New creative teams.
Hey-- look-- the first issue's got beautiful art by Steve McNiven! And the entire art team from Civil War! Wow!
And, hey, there's even some extra, new pages by guys like John Romita Jr. and Mike Deodato! Cool!
With your clear & open mind, you give this Brand New experience a fair shake on its own merits...

And release.

That's not so hard, right?

Im convinced.

I'll definitely give it a fair shake.

And that's what Marvel's banking on.

My reasoning?

1) The man took the time to come here and ask us.

2) I love his past work.

Is that unreasonable? At this point Spider-Man continuity is up in the air. None of us have any idea where it's going to land. Dan has 3 issues to hook me.

I think that's fair.

Well, this horse is almost as dead as the one we killed for Logan.

Damn I missed PJ going head to head with Dan Slott :down

I'm not saying it's fair or unfair. I'm saying Marvel is banking on Slott's past works, his enthusiasm for the character and/or the caliber of the rest of the talent involved to get you to overlook the raping (and that's what is) of their most well known character.

They're relying on fans like you, who will slowly bend and eventually break until the hand reaches for the wallet, and Marvel gets 3 issues worth of money for one title.

I dont understand why people think its such a bad idea to hold out hope for something better to come thru. I was very upset and annoyed by this last arc but i intend to keep reading in the hopes that someone can turn coal into diamond. I mean you dont stop watching you fav sports team if they loose a few games do you?

Watching a game and buying a product are two different things.

take it from the perspective of people who by tickets to the games then....i think you kind of new what i meant

Oh well, if the team sucks, then there's no way I'm paying to see that. Besides, it's still apples and oranges. A better comparison would be a movie. If you knew the movie sucked, would you still pay to see it? I wouldn't.

But how would you know the movie sucked without seeing it?

that would not be enough,....there have been movies i thought were gonna be terrible and i liked them and alot of reviewers are biased idiots who more often than not think every movie sucks

And when you've seen a really ****ty movie, would you pay to see it again?

no but .....if you saw a ****ty angelina jolie (insert any other famous or fav actor) movie would you never se a movie with them in it again
