Hmm...this, this just pisses me off. I had an idea as to how to get Spidey back into mechanical webshooters, what to do with a married Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson...ten times better than just erasing all of it. They could have even introduced these rogues without all of this Mephisto nonsense.
I guess every decade is supposed to have it's "Clone Saga". Literally, we got screwed out of Baby May twice!

Picked up Casanova #8-11.

Haven't read 1-7 yet,the HC is too pricey up here in Canada and a ripoff IMO,but the guy at my shop said this was the start of Volume 2.All I'd have to know is that "Cass,the main guy,is officially working for EMPIRE now".

Eh, I'm still buying Avengers: The Initiative. I figure if I'm buying at least one title from a creator, it's fair to boycott another on principle. Like I said before, passing on the great assortment of talent involved in Brand New Day is just unfortunate collateral damage, since all anyone who makes big decisions at Marvel will look at regarding One More Day's success or failure is the long-term sales figures.

On top of everything else, OMD kind of spat in the face of Peter's responsibility mantra, since he basically ripped off Faust because he didn't want to deal with losing May. May had already told him that she was content with her life and was ready to die. Peter was just too selfish to accept it.

The creative team you're a part of is great. With that said, I can't see anything but yet another massive retcon making BND even remotely worth the ride.

I fell sorry for Dan Slott. I think he's a great writer who totally deserves to be on a 'name' title like Spider-Man. But I think he and the other BND creators are going to be getting fallout from the response to One More Day.

I wish I could be there for you, but I just can't. It'll probably be a top 10 book anyway, so you have that to look forward to.

I'm starting to wonder if it actually will be a top 10 book, myself. A lot of the vocal minority on message boards seem to be swearing off Spider-Man's comics in the wake of OMD. I know the key word there is "minority," but it's still gotta be a sizable chunk of readership in such a small medium as comics; plus, we've already seen sales take a hit over the course of OMD's issues themselves. Granted, I'd be happy if ASM were just #15 or 20 instead of #3 or 4 for the next few months.

I personally think enough people will give Slott and company a chance (if anyone's earned the benefit of the doubt it's Slott) and Slott and company will deliver big time keeping the book in the top ten.....I wish I could be a part of it.....but I made lemonade out of lemons....I'm excited about the 3 brand new titles I'm getting to replace ASM X3 ...

They kept buying the book after "Sins Past" and the "Other"......I have no reason to believe that people who gutted out those two morbid atrocities won't at least give ASM X 3 a chance knowing Slotts there....and Slott won't lose the audience
