I usually spend $160 a month

Damn that! I never go over $100.00 per month unless I'm buying the odd back issues or two.

You should do like I do, my ComicStore guy let's me have two in-boxes with two complete lists that he trades off every two weeks.

I miss some issues, but he is good for holdin' recent stuff in the back issue bins.

That's a good deal. I've been buying my stuff online. Though I have been considering going to comic shops again. I'm lazy, and the discounts help cover the shipping. But I have to wait like two days, which really sucks when you got a holiday and everything ships a day late.

Yeah do you really save alot of money online? I see that on DCBS single issues are like 74 cents!!!

Support your local shop man, those guys take a beating from Video games and movies. Plus I like that if you go there long enough and get to know the owners, they will hook you up with free comics and serious discounts.

I get Annihilation for free Homey! for free! Just cause I'm a consistent and valued costumer, can't beat that.

I had a bad experience with a comic shop once. Kinda turned me off to going there. Lazy bastards didn't wanna help me back when I was a noob to comics. There are tons of others around me, and I could go and find a good one if I wanted too.

As far as saving online, I don't know. Some offer ridiculously huge discounts. I remember Dreamland was like 30% off. But I hear they screw up orders a lot.

I've been waiting for my order from them for three months

Ouch, yeah my LCBS is cool. Although they forgot to pull Runaways for me once and I had to fight one guy to the death and take his. :(

See the comicshop is where it's at.

You guys may have had some bad experiences with some shops, but when you find that comicshop that is cool you'll never miss and issue or get cheated on price.

It just takes time to get a rapport with the guys who work in the shops, and when you do it's worth it.

Seriously. I just wish you thought you were way smarter than you are and had your head up your ass on more topics. Concerning Carnage.:(

I miss her so much...:(

I only spend like $30 a month and I have to cut back. :(

Damn, I could never cut my books back to $30 a month. With a lot of my minis over, I'm probably spendin $60 at the most.

Yeah I can't imagine spending only $30 a month - I'm likely near $80-$100.

When I was a bit younger and Mom bought my books for me, I was at nearly $100/month. When I got my first job, she told me I was responsible. As a result, I've had to make some major cutbacks.
I'm also about to go to college, so the list is going to continue to shrink. :(

It looks like I'm going to be spending up to 50 bucks on comics this week alone. My first month and I'm already going overboard. Sucks.

I had to negotiate with my mom. I promised to do the laundry for a month. Fair enough. :down

I'm budgeted fer $50 a week and take home between 20-23 comics, dependin' on prices.

The Australian currency is different to the American, so I try not to spend more than 20 bucks a week. Gotta save up for food.

I think I'm going to drop down to 5 titles a month:

Astonishing X-Men
Checkmate
Daredevil
Runaways
Superman

Then just keep a checklist of what I'm missing and try to pick those up cheaply after I graduate from college.
In 4 years. :(

You're dropping Astonishing X-Men and Runaways?

He's dropping down to just those five. That means he's not dropping them (at least that's how I read it).
