Cool.

I seem to remember one particular poster who kept showing up on this forum crowing about how Ghost Rider was such a "failure", and how it wasnt going to make back it's budget, etc.,...

Oddly enough, i havent seen him around here lately. :word:

GR has definitely made back it's budget and some. So in the end, Avi and MSJ leave home happy.

Real #'s are in. Update below. Domestic thru April 8th. Overseas #'s not updated yet. Overseas #'s still thru April 1st.

Domestic, and overseas #'s are updated thru April the 8th. Updates below.

The movie has done good numbers, but I don't think enough for Avi to risk another 120 Mil or more on a sequel. But who knows.

All domestic, and overseas #'s have been updated thru April 15 th. Updates below.

People now think Ghost Rider is a failure, because im currently reading Carp Man`s signature..and if the numbers are right..then i am right also.

^I wouldnt say its a failure, it has made a profit before the DVD has even come out, plus, many people thought it wouldnt make close to $220 mil, but it did.

224 million is decent for the first movie in a franchise for a character that's considerd a b- or by some even c-list Marvel comic. The numbers are great if you take into account all the bad reviews it's gotten. It's good that they pushed back the release from summer '06 to early '07 cause i don't think it would have made such made in that period.

And theres more money to made at the box office, cause...May 29 is when China will get their taste of the Rider.

Not to mention it opened in February which isnt exactly renouned as a money making month.

^It sure did, just makes you wonder how it would have done in the summer.

Worlwide total is now up to $228,211,606 . Thanks in part to to the $3 million+ it's earned in China over the past couple weeks. The movie only opened there at the start of the month.

^ Nice. I know Marvel is in a lawsuit with the creator of the character who's using a loophole to try to grab the rights back. We'll see. Either way Marvel will end up with the rights.
