I showed the pilot episode to my mom and three days later she was already on the second season, and she's not usually the kind of woman who gets so involved in shows.
I'm so proud.

I started watching this show on Tuesday and finished season 4 tonight. This show has gripped me like no other before. Breaking Bad has replaced Six Feet Under as my all time favorite Television Series. Top notch all the way. I can't wait for season 5. Unbelievable!!!!

Those series of episodes are some of my favorites because they show a real humanity to Hank, rather than the real one note character he could have been (and tries to appear to be).

I agree. The episode where he throws Tucco's teeth into the river and this one really served to add a lot of depth to his character. It's funny to see the stereotypical machismo, but I'm glad there's a lot more to him than that.

In a way, I'm really glad I'm watching this late in to the shows run. Now after awesome episodes like that, I don't have to wait a whole week till the next one.

I agree. I basically sped through all four seasons as soon as I started watching it, so I've never actually followed a season while it was still going on. With some of these endings, I don't even know how you guys can handle it. Gulp. Season 5 is going to be tough.

One of the hardest things to do on the show must have been to make Hank likeable, since he can be a jerk sometimes and he's unknowingly trying to take down the protagonist.

Honestly. After finishing all four seasons, my life finally got back to being normal again. Before I finished them my life was literally a series of meaningless events in between watching episodes of Breaking Bad.

All i know is.....ever since i started watching breaking bad(which was around 3 weeks ago) i have not been able to enjoy my other favorite shows as much because BB just wrecks shop and everything about it is just great.

i still havent been able to watch boardwalk empire because after breaking bad, empire became boring for me.

Unfortunately this is a common affliction for the Breaking Bad viewer, and there is no known cure.

try watching dexter after breaking bad. i loved dexter and i still watch it now, but it's like...wow, if this was breaking bad, deb would have found out about dexter a few seasons ago, and the show would have progressed and advanced rather than the same sht every season.

breaking bad is in a class of its own.

Mwhaha, I just did that. After season 4 finished, I watched the whole thing all over again.

And now I have to go through it yet again because I've gotten a friend into it.

I can only remember doing this before with The Shield. I think I've been through The Shield start to finish 3, maybe 4 times. I'm already on my 3rd with Breaking Bad.

In the case of Dexter, the show has simply declined in quality. But seasons 1 and 2 of the show can rival Breaking Bad at its best.

i can agree with that. But man, dexter has fell so hard. i hate to talk about dexter in this thread as it has its own. But the cops in dexter ...a suspect is killed by dexter, the cops cant find the suspect anymore so,"case solved!" its like wait what? how the hell....

reason why breaking bad works so well is because hank is a....ill find the ring leader, even if hes on his own and has to bend the rules. As he shown with gus. Its suspenseful, while in dexter in the last few years, you always knew some loop hole would get dexter out of trouble.

i don't agree. the best of dexter is very good, but it just isn't as brilliant as breaking bad.

the emotional weight, the suspense, the holy sht moments...there really isn't another series like breaking bad.
