Breaking Bad - Part 1

I think at this point it may actually be more shocking if walter lives. Pretty much from the 1st season we were all sort of lead to believe walter is a man in his last days and were just watching as his time runs out.

Usually the death of a lead character would be shocking but we all actually expect it with walter so who knows?

I'm positive Lewis will end up the mastermind who has been pulling the strings that we didn't even know were being pulled He's so mysterious. He helped teach Walter Jr. to drive so he could drive the getaway car. :wow:

I do like how Vince feels that 16 episodes isn't enough because over the past few years he wasn't sure that they show couldn't make it to a fifth season and now he's running out of episodes!

I know I'm late to the party, but I figured I chime in. Since classes ended for me last week, I found myself with lots of free time, thankfully, and decided to catch up on my Netflix. Since I always wanted to try out Breaking Bad but never really got around to it, I decided to try it. I couldn't tear myself away from my freaking TV. This show is just...mind blowing. It starts off slow, but you're attached because you know it gets serious, and when it does...JESUS. The second season is what really sealed the deal for me. The third season was just the icing on the cake. Sadly, Netlfix doesn't offer the 4th season, so I manually went through the upcoming episodes on my DVR (I have DirectTV) and set each one under the year 2011 to tape. So, theoretically, next week, I'll be officially caught up on Breaking Bad and anxiously awaiting Season 5 next month. Seriously, this show is just so TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT!

Apparently, since I have Dish Network, it seems I won't be watching next season until it comes out on DVD. :( Jerks.

I feel for you. I would never stop being mad if I couldn't watch S5 as it goes.

A bunch of promo pics! :wow:

Then there's the ones from The Insider but it's just two pics of Jesse.

So close yet so far away!

Skyler looks hot again.

I feel for you

But I found it funny that last night while watching The Killing I saw three commercials that went like "AMC. NOT available on Dish Network"

Hot damn...

So close yet so far away!

Skyler looks hot again.

Yeah she does. I was wondering if she got plastic surgery or something last season

Dish says AMC wants too money, AMC says they are giving us notice to change providers. Yeah, okay. I won't change providers, cable is just too much damn money. I'll just wait for the seasons to come out on disc. I am also hoping this goes like the FX war, where they solved it after three weeks or so. Maybe they'll get it all sorted out before Breaking Bad airs on the 21st. :)

Before season 5 of Mad Men I got a lot of commercials saying that my cable provider was dropping AMC, but they got it worked out not long before the season started, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

There's always iTunes. That's how I've been watching my TV.

In the latest promo for the Bryan Cranston starrer, Gus' (Giancarlo Esposito) epic death is replayed as Walter White begins to lay down the law with his newly in the loop wife, Skyler (Anna Gunn).

Esposito told The Hollywood Reporter recently that he could be returning to the AMC drama about a meth-dealing former teacher to film flashback scenes for the upcoming fifth season.

Season 5 returns July 15 on AMC. Check out the promo below and hit the comments with your thoughts.

They gave Combo, Jane, and Gale all flashbacks. Only makes sense to do so for Gus.

Agreed. Breaking Bad's brilliant use of flashbacks is one of the ways it upholds an amazing sense of continuity and fluidity from one season to the next. It is expected at this point.

You can tell Dish that you want to keep it, AMC has pop up alerts on their site about it or tell them you'll leave.

Cranston and Esposito both won at the 2nd and Annual Critics Choice Awards. Breaking Bad lost to Homeland for best drama series.

Actors and writers don't have time to watch everything or don't watch so their not influenced. Having awards where the people who vote watch every episode, and rewatch and discuss and recap and interview writers/actors is so much better than the Emmys.

I wonder if they bring up everybody from the past seasons in season 5.

^They would only bring back a character if it served the story some purpose. The show doesn't randomly refer to or bring back a character for no reason.

Oh I know and that is true, but I wonder if they do bring in more of the dead characters back for some reason.

The last time we went through this with FX it got resolved after three weeks so I am hopeful I won't miss anything or not that I couldn't catch up since AMC is good for replaying things. I will just have to keep my fingers crossed. It won't even be that helpful to change providers, lol, because right after Dish had their spat with FX, Direct TV went through the same thing maybe a month or two later. Direct TV folks could be in the same boat in the not too distant future. :p

I'm really curious about why they're back at the junkyard. Perhaps consulting with the owner about property law? :P

Anyway, I was just poking around, looking for more season 5 goodies and I found these photos:
