Breaking Bad - Part 1

Yeah I still don't hate Walt.

He completely manipulated Jesse but he was under extreme pressure. Gus threatened his family. What could he do?

I loved the episode but I'm left with a lot of questions. What happened to Jesse's Rican cigarette? I guess Tyrus or one of Gus' men must have taken it? I mean, I guess in Season 4 they never explictly showed us that Jesse's house was bugged, but we can infer it from the text message Jesse gets in his house cancelling a meeting between him and Gus after Walt tells Jesse to kill Gus.

The whole how did Walt pull off poisoning Brock thing, too. Hopefully that is explained. Was he poisoned at school like one of the theories suggests?

Still I'm left with a few questions: where was Mike? How did Walt pull off poisoning Brock? Especially the second question, although that'll probably be explained in a Season 5 episode opening. Crawl Space still stands as the best episode of Season 4.
Huell lifted it from Jesse. Here is what Vince Gilligan had to say about it(in bold):

I want to get into the mechanics of the plan that Walt hatched. A big deal is made in the previous episode about the chain of custody of the ricin cigarette. What happened to it?

I think Jesse had the right idea. I think it was lifted off him by Huell. When he comes to Walt in the previous episode, and Walt asks how on earth would he could have done it, and Jesse says, "The big man mountain security guard of Saul's just had to see me, and he pats me down. You got him to get it off of me." So having done that, he could've just flushed it in the toilet, because as we find out, the child wasn't poisoned with ricin, he was poisoned with something else.

And Walt was somehow able to get access to Brock, to give him the berries.

Yeah. That part's probably the trickiest part. I can't remember the specifics, but we worked it out in the writer's room. He technically had enough hours to do it. How he found his way over there unseen is probably a little improbable, perhaps, but not impossible, is the way we figured it.

Transformation of evil Walt started when he let Jesse's girlfriend choke on her vomit...He is turning into a Scarface.

The audience will gravitate to his badassery next season, but Jesse will do something. Hank I am sure will get an idea as to Walt

I don't think we're meant to hate Walt yet, because his actions have been the result of circumstance... first he let Jane die. But now, even with the threat from Gus, Walt still endangered a child's life. Brock could have died, the relief that washed over his face when Jesse gave him the good news was genuine. I can't wait to see him do something completely heinous next season because I'm sure that by the end of the series I'm gonna love seeing Heisenberg crumble.

I am confused. Is THE Christopher Nolan posting here?

So do I. Then I could ask if he feels special, because a show like BB had Two-Face and a bomb inside a hospital, during it's season finale.

Question about Walt's money situation. At the end of Crawl Space he doesn't have 500k in cash to pay to make his family disappear. When he grab money for Saul's secretary, it looked like he had several packages stashed with cash. Maybe I'm wrong?

i predict amc will split the 16 episodes into two seasons.

next 8 episodes will be walt's rise to the top of the game.

last 8 will be jesse finding out about brock/jane, and hank closing in on walt.

I agree.

with no lab and pretty much no money left I'm itching to see where season 5 picks up.

Back to square one.

What ever Gus was back in Chile wasn't revealed in this season so I have a feeling it'll bite on Walt's ass in the next season.

True.

I'm really curious to see how and why Walt gets back into the meth game. Aside from Jesse, he's pretty much severed all ties to that life, and I'm having trouble imagining what could pull him back in. Unless it's his usual problem, pride, pride in knowing that he's one of, if not the best meth cook in the world that lures him back.

I can't imagine that would go over well with Skyler though.

There's no going back for Walt. He's going to become like Gus then die a miserable wretch, exposed for what he is to his family and allies. If there is redemption to be had I think it will be for Jesse. He has good in him that he tries to suppress, Walt has evil in him that he feeds.

Man, i'm still shaking nervously over last nite, i think i should see a doctor. I haven't been this rocked since Shane [BLACKOUT]killed Lem[/BLACKOUT] in season 5 of the Shield.

Not Ronnie. And should you really throw out a spoiler like that?

I know it's been years, but still.

So here's the part where we see how full of holes the storyline is and how all the faces who walked out will look like idiots 'cause now the deck is gonna be stacked against them when before Triple H treated them pretty well.

It makes no sense!!!

wrong thread brah.

The ep was funnier than I thought itd be.

From that old lady waving and calling to Walt on the ledge, Walt's bomb magnetized to the elevator, Walt's late realization that the secretary was extorting him, and Tio's FU to the DEA.

That quick cut to Tio's demonic smiling look of vengeance was jarring. Anybody feel the same? The growing look of uncertainty on Gus' face culminating at that scream when Tio kept ringing that bell had me standing up off of my couch. And then the explosion. And then Gus walking out had me shouting, "wtf?!" And then the big reveal of Gus's left side of his face missing, had me laughing and saying, "holy ****!"

And then the other big reveal of Walt poisoning Brock. Damn. I dont believe Walt ever intended to kill the kid, but the fact that he poisoned him in the first place in the hopes of ensuring his survival is ruthless on its own.

The first Holy **** moment for me was when Gus was

What was the last word Gus said? I can't make it out..
